Even after you find out that a bunch of guys are soon gonna have their hands all over it?Not that you didn't have it, but to be clear, you have my respect.
I've learned over the years to be humble and that it's ok to ask for help lifting.Even after you find out that a bunch of guys are soon gonna have their hands all over it?
Baa baa Runny, have you any wood?Morning Pops and friends!
Lovely midtown Manhattan, waiting for my first customer to arrive, so I can hand all this lumber off to them, then go across town to the next customer and hand all their lumber off to them, so I can head back to CT, to hand off all the lumber my third stop is getting.
I hope I'm not coming off as unappreciative.
Have a wonderful day!
Lmao, that was funny.Baa baa Runny, have you any wood?
Yes sir, yes sir, three orders to the good.
There's one for Manhattan and another crosstown
Then it's back across the bridge to lay that third one down.
No, you don't sound unappreciative. I only drove in Manhattan once and that was enough, I was defensive driving in my sleep that night.
Yeah, I was delivering to a Lumberyard a few years back and asked to use the restroom. The guy behind the counter pointed to it, and as I was walking over to it another guy asked if I needed any help. I said, "No thanks, I can handle it. I've been working out.". His co-workers just about laughed him out of the building.I've learned over the years to be humble and that it's ok to ask for help lifting.

Morning Pops, morning Jobs. Good Morning Fellas and good morning to all who decided to stop in and visit the thread today.
So, welcome to Thursday! Tomorrow is Friday and the weekend starts before a short Thanksgiving Holiday Week! I hope everybody has some kind of plan ready to go for supper. I spoke to my Mom yesterday and asked her what the plan was for Thanksgiving? She usually goes over to my Sister's house and I kind of figured that this is what she would do again. Nope, she told me that the plan was to just stay home. Couldn't believe it. I invited her to come to my house and she said no. Said the Governor had closed down the State so they would just stay home. Understand, they recently moved into a gated retirement home and so they don't have new appliances yet. They have been on order for two months and won't be available till Dec., hopefully. Mom told me they were just going to use a hot plate and eat Rotisserie Chicken. I lost it right there. Mom lives 10 minutes away from me. But, she doesn't want to come out of the house and I can't tell her anything so I will just pack food up and go over on Thanksgiving and drop it off I guess. Honestly, I don't really understand it but that's what she wants so not much I can do except live with it.
So, since I've started off whining, guess I'm just going to continue on here. So, we have our Grandsons a couple days a week during their online school. I have to tell you, this online school stuff is a joke. I mean, they are young but we get them online and ready for their lessons and what you get is a pre-recorded message by the teacher that comes on, xyz and then it takes you to a lesson that might play a song. Seriously, it's like the ABCs song or something. That's it. The lesson is like 15 minutes. This is a Joke! These boys have known how to say ABCs since before they started going to school and that's what passes for teaching online. This is a mess people. This is not teaching anything and kids are suffering for it. I was so pissed. I wanted to call the school and ask them what the hell they were doing but my Daughter called my Wife and told her not to call the school. I was pissed and I'm still pissed over that. This has to get fixed quick!
OK, enough complaining. What's going on with everybody today? I hope you are all enjoying a great day!
Leon, dbrp, Xelda, zrin, Trouty, ksk, RGV, Coach, RWB, Ranching, SW, John, Jan, Corso and Colo, please be well and have a great day!
Everybody, finish up strong and lets go ahead and head into the Holiday Week with a lite load! This means you RW!
Be well people!
Gonna leave you with this tune. This is a young lady named Laura Cox grinding her axe to the classic by Lynyrd Skynyrd Sweet Home Alabama. I like to watch young people lay down licks to classic tunes without completely screwing them up. Also, a good Thanksgiving Song because lord knows, Thanksgiving is all about Home folks.
Whip? I'm listening.Evening Pops and everyone!
I’ve been a pessimist most of my life... some called me a negative person. Well, this time it worked in my favor. The COVID test came back negative, so, (add whip-snapping sound here) take that!
