FEATURED Morning Pops!

Good morning, Cbz and to all Zoners, present or not. As I thought, Sunday was hard on my wife and she confessed that she could not face the racks of Father's day cards so soon after her dad's passing. A few hugs, some understanding that only 36 1/2 years together can bring, my unconditional love and we were okay. She did manage to get me a pair of Dallas Cowboys boxer shorts that I wear with pride. ;)

Ologan, Southwest doesn't fly from my area, but I look forward to trying them some day. Leon, enjoy the Kindle. I have the the second genrataion ebook and I can testify that it's a quality product. A talblet is a handy item to have around. My son just got me to download a game for my iPad called "A Monster ate my Condo". Very Japanese, very silly game.

Everybody have a great day.:D

Morning Pops and a good Tuesday morning to everyone!
We are suppose to be getting some HOT and humid weather the next couple of days here in upstate NY. High 90's.

Since last fall, we have had the strangest weather patterns I can ever recall. We virtually had NO winter.

No complaints however!

You folks have a great day ahead! :)

:starspin

Morning Pops, Sarge, and all who will follow this morning. Busy day ahead installing a whole house full of window blinds. It pays the bills....and allows me to golf or fish the other days. Enjoy this day!!!

Morning Cbz. Morning Sarge, ologan, Kristie and all the rest of you'uns. Have a good one, folks!

Good morning, Cbz and good morning, Zoners. Work is busy, big time, so not much else to say at this juncture. Have a great day.:D

Morning Pops. Morning Friends and good morning to anybody new who may drop in.

Yeah, it's getting hot here two. We have a cat that likes to go out at night and just do his thing. Well, it's getting so hot these days that when we let the cat out, an hour later, the damn thing was outside the door making racket to get back into the house for AC. :laugh2: That never happens.

Anyhow, everybody try to beat the heat the best way you can and have a great day.

:)

Morning Pops, Bob, and all to follow. Work yesterday....Golf today!

Morning Cbz. Morning Bob, ologan, and all the rest. Y'all have a great day.

Morning Pops. Morning to all the regulars and to all who may stop in just to check things out.

I am sorry to say that I have bad news. As some of you may remember, several weeks ago, we had a young man in our family suffer an accident that caused massive head trauma. 16 years old and he has been fighting to survive. He had so many injuries to his brainand chest, pretty much everything shutting down, that he had to be put in a comma so that he could be stabilized. After weeks of this, he was finally stabilized and transferred to a Trauma Center here in Albuquerque that specialized in Head Trauma. The young man is a fighter and last week, he was finally removed from a respirator to see if he could breath on his own. He did well for about three days but yesterday, his brain shut down and he was no longer able to breath on his own. He is brain dead and the family has made the decision to take him off the resporator. This will happen sometime today.

16 is way to young. I feel terrible for his Mom and the entire family. I am also, in a very strange way, glad that the decision has been made to finally let this Boy see peace. The hardest decision any parent has to make is this one but it is the best decision for this Boy. My hope is that he will join other family and friends who have been lost and that they take care of him.

I am sorry to have made such a long post here but I promised many of you that I would keep you in the loop. I wish I had better news. The only good news is that this will finally be over and put to rest.

Value your children. You just never know.

Please be well.

:)

Good morning, Cbz and the same to all who come here. ABQ, please allow me to extend my sympathies for your loss. While your young man is not suffering, it will be hard for everyone to reconcile the loss of one so young. It sounds like you've taken the first steps to help deal with that.

You have no need to apologize for the length of the post. We've all seen longer and your words are well chosen and quite touching. Thank you for keeping us posted and allowing us to offer our support in a difficult time. As for our children, I will take your advice and call them today. They're grown up now, but they are still my kids.

Have the best day possible, folks and look after yourselves.:)

May he rest in peace and God bless him and his family.

Morning Cbz. Morning everyone. The strong winds we've been having have died down this morning so I may be able to do some gardening.

Everyone have a great day.

Morning Pops. Morning Fellas and Kristie. Morning to all Zoners. I hope everybody is well today.

Thank you fellas for the very kind words. Best thing about this place are the posters and that goes double for those who post in this thread in my book.

It's been hot here, like a lot of places I'm sure. Be nice to see just a little bit of rain. Have had fires here since probably May and the smoke is so bad that you can't hardly make out the Mountains. Need a little rain to settle all that stuff down.

Enough with the crying, time to go to work. Everybody have a great day.

:)

Good morning, Cbz and good morning, Zoners. We've survived hump day and the weekend is closing in. We could use some heat as opposed to rain. It's incredibly green around here, but my wife complains that we need more warmth for the flowers. I'd like to borrow about 10 degrees F, please. Just send it my way by any delivery means possible.

You folks have a great day.:D

Good Morning Weldon and all. Been in the garden. My brother told me a big watermelon was ready and said no. He said yeah it was. Ok. Put it in the frig last nite (Black Diamond so about 35lbs or so) and it was not ripe. Will wait on July 4th to even think about any others. Man, I've got way too many vines and not enough watermelons. What to do???

Morning Pops and a good Friday morning to everyone.

Let's get through today and have a great weekend.

What is everyone doing this weekend? Let's hear it!

Have a great day ahead! :)

Morning Pops, Jobberone,Sarge, and all who drop by on this beautiful Friday morning. Jobberone, hit 'em with a foliar spray of fish emulsion and kelp. Can't hurt,
This weekend is the 40th anniversary of "Deliverance",so they're having a festival on the Chatooga River over in Long Creek,SC this weekend. No, no "pig squeal" contests or anything like that. It's art shows, nature hikes, meet the authors/actors stuff. Billy Redden, the "banjo boy", works at the local WalMart. There are times I come out of the store to see Billy and some tourist who just has to have a pic with him. He's good natured about it, and one day I told him to start charging ten dollars for a pic. He just laughed.
