FEATURED Morning Pops!

Morning Pops. Morning Sarge, Jobber, Bob, and those yet to follow.

Looks like weather is the theme of the day so far. Glad the heat wave's back seems to have been broken for your area, Sarge. Hope you get more rain, Jobber. And Bob, those 100+ temps sound dog-days hot, but I hope you get relief from them soon enough.

Here in Vail, AZ... next to Tucson but higher elevation... it's 70 now, high of 95 expected. Get thunderstorms this time of year. Flood warnings/ dangers throughout the Tucson and surrounding areas to deal with this time of year, though.

Have a great Wednesday, all.

Good morning, Cbz and the same to all you over-heated folks. We got thundershowers yesterday afternoon and it cooled down in the evening, making for a beautifult night to sleep. We're getting sun today and will get into the low 80's. I can handle that.

Witt, it sounds like your elevation moderats the temps to some degree. Do you get a lot of electrical storms? Bob, you mut be one of these get up early, get'er done by noon guys. I have worked outside in deep cold and high heat, but I find the heat harder to work in for long periods of time. I've never encountered the kind of extended heat you get, but I've got a friend who just spent a month in Omaha and he never wants to repeat the experience.

In any event, you folks have a great day. :D

Good Morning Pops. Good Morning to all the regulars and Good Morning to all who might stop by to check out this thread.

I hope that all are doing well today. It's a beautiful morning here in Albuquerque. Hump day doesn't seem to bad this week. I hope that everybody here is also off to a good start.

Be well everybody.

:)

Definitely, e.g. Vail is cooler than Tucson by an average of about 5° in the summer. Tucson tends to be about 3-5° cooler than Phoenix.

Today's comparison: Phoenix - High 103° Low 85°; Tucson - High 101° Low 76°; Vail - High 95° Low 72°

Phoenix's elevation is 1,107 feet. Tucson's is 2,550. Vail's is 3237. Helps to be in Vail — as far as the heat goes, for sure.

Do you get a lot of electrical storms?
Yessir. I haven't been here anywhere close to as long as folks like Hos... so as to be able to fully describe them over a long period of time... but check these two pics out of electrical storms over Tucson and the surrounding areas:

Morning Pops. Morning Zoners. Hope everybody has a great Thursday.

Morning Pops and a good Thursday morning to all of you's.

Weekend fast approaching!

You folks have a great day ahead! :)

:starspin

Morning Pops, Sarge, you regulars and all the rest of you fanatics. It's another day in paradise. Have a good one.

Morning Pops, Sarge, Jobb, and all coming and going. Stay safe today!

Good morning, Cbz and all Zoners . Sarge, I hope your enjoying the Olympics. We won't get the medal haul that you guys do, but it's fun to watch the athletes, especially when they connect emotion with achievement. The badminton BS and the empty seats:confused: issue aside, it's been good fun.

Weather wise, I got a reminder of the latitude I live at when I had to wear a jacket to work tioday. 50 degrees and raining. It's supposed to warm up to the 80's for the weekend, so I'll just have to suffer through. The Mrs decided we needed a February holiday in the Caribbean, so we've booked another cruise to escape the deep freeze.

Paperwork beckons, so I'll wish all of you a great day.:D

Morning Pops. Morning to all the regulars and also to any who may stop by.

Not enough sleep these past few days. Need to sleep in this weekend if I can.

Still, nice morning and a nice day with any luck. Hope everybody is enjoying the same.

Be well everyone.

:)

Morning Cbz. Morning everyone. I got some good news yesterday when my retirement check arrived. A new COLA (cost of living adjustment) went into effect. A few extra bucks on a fixed income always helps.:)
