FEATURED Morning Pops!

Leon, you're absolutely right about the game. It was a blast to watch and when a big play makes the difference, then the fun really begins. I was by myself, so the celebration was happening while I was wrapping Christmas presents.
On a separate issue, I note the talk of food, which is always near dear to my heart. I've only eaten tamales once and it was years ago. Not a great experience and I suggest that quality control may have been the issue. There isn't a lot of opportunity to eat them here, so any tips regarding making, slecting or understanding what makes one great would be appreciated. It does appear that tamales are lucky as far as the Cowboys go, so keep making them!

enjoy the food, the victory and the rest of the day. Have a great one.:D

Do Not --Do Not eat store bought or most restaurant tamales..... The best ones around here are homemade usually by a local church.

Morning, Cbz and all the rest of you friends and fellow Cowboys fans as well.

Have a great day!

Morning Pops --Morning Leon and slackers --get up and make the world a better place;)

Good morning, Cbz and good morning to all Zoners, present or not. According to Bob, in order to get good tamales, I'm going to have to go to Texas and go to church? ;) I will be gong through Houston on my way to Miami in February, but that may be a bit of a stretch in terms of getting the good home-made stuff. Obviously, some planning is in order.

Regardless of food, everybody have a great day and let's focus on running over the Saints this weekend.:D

Morning Pops. Morning to all of the regulars and to any new folks who might stop by.

Good to see some quality discussion on the topic of Tamales is going on. I'm fortunate in that you can almost go just about anywhere here and get a decent tamale. Now, of course the best ones for me are at home but it a pinch, you can get decent quality just about anywhere.

Have a great day everybody!

:)

Morning, Cbz. Morning everybody.

All this talk about tamales is making me hungry. In my working days my secretary, who was Mexican, used to make tamales and bring them in to the office. YUM! I definitely hired the right person, because she was a very good secretary as well as a good cook.

Have a great day Y'all. I'm going to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned.

Good morning Pop's, Job, Leon, and all yet coming our way this morning.Tamales, tamales,tamales......A staple growing up in San Antonio! I seem to recall that there is a tamale festival of sorts in SA, at the old Pearl Brewery. Lord, don't get me started on Pearl beer.....or Lone Star! One of my favorite memories of SA, and there are quite a few, was working at the Pearl pavilion at Hemisfair. Worked your tail off, but after work.....let the good times roll!

Morning Pops, Godd morning tamale lovers of the yard. Next weeks discussion will be enchiladas---red or green, rolled or flat and with egg on top or not

Morning Pops. Morning to all the regulars and to anybody who may stop in.

Enchiladas it is!

Everybody, have a great day.

:)

Any chance you are mailing me any tamales yet ABQ-----I'm so hungry and I missed the church ladies this week.:D

Morning Pop's, Job, Leon, and all falling thru this rabbit hole today. Stay safe!!

Morning Pops --morning all m friends and visitors....Enjoy a cup in the yard before rushing off to work.......Ok that's long enough you loafers!

Good morning, Cbz and good morning, Zoners. I've decided to add eating good Tex-Mex food in Texas to my Bucket List. I have eaten at decent Mexican restaurants, but it's clear that something is missing. It looks as though you all are getting in the relaxed state before Christmas and I applaud the attitude. We brought my wife's mom up for the week and she's really loving the dog. it's her first Christmas without her husband and we're determined to make it great for her. You all have great day and I'll catch you through the holidays.:D

Hey Bob, I sent you two dozen. Had the boys take em down to the post office and mail em. Course, those boys do eat everything that aint nailed down. Maybe that wasn't such a good idea now that I think of it.
