Used to go everyday every year. Now no badges. Not sure there is even a wait list you can get on now.

That's about 90 minutes or so from where I lived, depending upon whether you are north or south of Kona. I lived in Papaikou, about 4 miles above Hilo on the hamakua coast.

I started to buy just above you but the Admiral didn't like Hilo and I preferred the drier climate. We have got to get together.

I don't live there anymore. I live in Texas now and have for the last 4 years. We would still be in Hawaii but after we moved there both of our daughters on the mainland had babies. We moved back so we could see the grand kids more often. We loved our 7 years there, though.

That's too bad. I was looking forward to it. I lived in Texas 4 years. Loved it.
