Beach was great, ABQ. We grilled some burgers and went in the water. The water was perfect. As I told the fellas in the Beer Thread, I was grabbing the little one's leg and yelling "shark!" "shark!" much to the consternation of the little one, as well as a nearby family

In 1942, The U.S. Navy won the Battle of Midway, which was the turning point of WWII and signaled the defeat of The Japanese. Jimi Hendrix was born in 1942. Jackie Robinson wore the number 42. My first number in the first year I ever played Football was 42.

Great post. 42 Jackie Robinson. The Battle of Midway set the carrier up as the great projection of power and that Battle was decisive and the beginning of the end. Could have gone very differently. Maybe Divine Providence??
