I have owned a 1958 VW BEETLE ,but I have not, nor will I ever own -or listen to the (searching for a word that I can use -but there aren't any) the beatles.
They are an abomination to my ears. Sorry Phil that you never had the pleasure of running around in an old bug hunting rabbits and I will pray that your ears will be healed from listening to all that stuff- yeah yeah yeah

Phil you can start the healing process by getting a copy of John D's album. He has a little of Chet in his soul --yeah ,yeah , yeah

Well the cement truck and the Tongan cement workers both showed up on time yesterday and we got the slab poured for the garage. Happy day! I'll let it cure a few days and then my brother and I will build the new home sweet home for my 55 Bel Air convertible.

Leon, I lied earlier in the thread when I said I never owned a car in my life. I did own a mint 1955 Chevy station wagon (not Nomad). It was a street rod and it was beautiful. Sold it like a fool.

Leon, I have a 55 Chevy Pickup right now. My wife tells me all the time that I should get rid of it. Says it's just taking up space in the garage. I'll probably be buried in it. Great idea building a house for the 55 on your part my friend.

Sarge and ABQ. I bought my 55 around 1967 for $70. It needed engine work. My wife and I dated in the car and I taught her how to drive in it. I had a frame-off restoration completed on it about 6 years ago.

That way, she'll know how you feel about the Bel-Air. I do believe, however, that a picture should be in order. Share the image of that classic with those of us less fortunate.
