Terrence Mitchell is going to run his spot. Claiborne is a cupcake. I am usually positive in these threads but Claiborne has really disappointed me. I hope he can prove me wrong but when a guy can't cover, can't play the ball, and then on top of that he won't be physical or tackle I lose respect for the player. He is lucky that B.W. Webb is a terrible football player and that his only competition is Mitchell and some UDFA's

as long as history to me is starting 16 games as well as a few playoff games this season (minimally), then I am on board with his comments....

I made history by writing this. Not sure what exactly his point was, I guess he was trying to say he's gonna do something special. Well, how about baby steps. Shrug the bust tag off yourself first, then become a decent player, then become great, then do special things, then you can make history. But it's a huge jump from totally sucking to making history. In fact, I doubt it has ever been done. Stop talking and get to work...

"He who has the most to say has the least to offer."

Sad case. 2 top draft picks in this guy.

In hindsight moving up in the first to take a CB was crazy. When Dallas gets universal praise on their no.1 pick it makes me nervous. I hope he turns it around but I'm not gonna hold my breath

Well, to date I can't say I disagree with what you said; unfortunately. I still think he can be a solid CB in this league but he's got to be able to tackle esp in this defense. We'll see.

This is the NFL & injuries happen. I'm not calling Mo a bust until he plays 2 full seasons (32 games) with subpar production. With that being said, I'm pulling for him to succeed.

I think he will be fine.

But I suppose to fit in here, I should amend my belief. He sucks, will continue to suck, and never amount to anything just like every single Dallas Cowboy on the roster.

Three things I want to see from Claiborne this season:
  1. Focus
  2. Toughness
  3. Consistency
If he does these three things it will be a positive achievement.

Nope. To fit in here you have to say he is the epitome of suckiness.

Claiborne gets way too much hate in these posts. Terrence Mitchell is not going to take his spot, either.

At this point I see Claiborne as one of those guys that's just going to receive a lot of hate from the fans regardless of pretty much whatever he does. When you combine his very unsensational first 2 seasons with the trade up to take him at #6 overall, it's just too easy for the Jerry haters to point their pitchforks at Claiborne and do their thing.

Even if Mo has a very very good 2014 season by normal standards, he'll still get dumped on around these parts.
