You are expecting him to get better based on what? If there are some reasons please let us know. It has to be something more than the usual "he is working hard in the offseason" though. What has changed for us to expect something different?

Because of the type of Ball player he was coming out of the draft the same reason scouts had him rated as highly as they did. His rookie season was not bad, last year he dealt with injuries and some off the field issues that made for a rough season for him. I could do as you guys do and give up on him that is your choice then if he proves himself the old BS of I will crow, hell with eating Crow I believe in the kid regardless if you or any other fan feels different. I think people put out their own expectation and if a player does not come out right off the bat and produce that way some will give up, I don't

Personally, I think he needed to be stronger and healthier, so that's what I'm hoping happened this offseason. He's a fluid guy who's gifted in man coverage. We need the pressure up front to limit zone coverage, and he's got to be strong enough that he's not a liability in press against certain receivers. That's it as far as I'm concerned.

With Mo, I personally put a lot of stock in what Dez and Scandrick say about the guy. Clearly his strength has been a big liability: we hear that from all the coaches. But the guy can cover and has the potential to be very, very good in this league. He just needs to do it, this season.

So, nothing new. He is a Cowboy and you hope for the best. Nothing wrong with that. That is not a reason to expect anything different though. High hopes is not improvement.

You are right about his problems. Strength is a major issue with him. I think his hype prevented QBs Tom testing him in his rookie season until they figured out that he was no Revis. Now they target him because he has been exposed. It is gonna take a big improvement for him to succeed now.

claiming he is a bust does not make that the case either. I have watched many guys get slammed around here Hatcher now he is a big loss because Jones did not sign him, Scandrick many around here wanted him gone a while back. Fact is many are very quick and giving up on a player while I am not. He enters his 3rd season and yes I hope he can come out and show why he was rated as highly as he was across the NFL not just Dallas. Do I know for a fact he will? No but in the mean time I will not degrade and mock these young players who are out there busting their hump while fans sit on theirs.

Mo has given the fans a reason to degrade him and it has been questionable that he busts his hump. If he don't want the label of being a bust, then he shouldn't have played so poorly. As for your examples, Hatcher had one great season when it was contract time. If anything, it proved that he hadn't played to his full potential in the past. With Mo, it has gotten to the point where coaches are starting to question his play in media interviews. They have the same concerns as fans and they have are nervous that he is a bust as well. Is it bashing When it comes from the Cowboys staff?
