Mort: Cowboys expect to trade Romo to Texans or Broncos ***MERGE***

Serious question: can someone explain to me why HOU would trade a 2nd round pick to get Os off their books, rather than just cutting him?

If they cut him they would have had dead money due to the guaranteed potion of Osweilers contract. Cle can absorb the dead money since they are so far under the cap.

Not funny, but yeah, maybe a little funny. LOL

just looked at his contract. $37 million was guaranteed, but only a $12 million signing bonus. So yes, $25 million left in guaranteed money. Thanks

The Bears are signing Mike Glennon. How are they on this list?

Do we all really think they were just caught with their pants down in trading a 2nd round pick and Osweiler? No. They were dumping Osweiler whether they were getting Romo or not.

A personal ethic of mine is to never trust someone who feigns certainty in an uncertain situation.

It sounds like the Browns are reading their sales receipt and are only now realizing they got fleeced?

I'm not certain. I should have used the word "likely" rather than "obviously," but I honestly believe HOU was moving on from Os whether or not they got Romo. And that they are not trading for him because they k now Jerry will release him eventually. Jerry will blink before HOU or DEN does. Mark my words.

Obvious denotes certainty. You are also speaking for others using "we" and the like.

You use that in place of actual argument. You don't get to speak for us, the Texans, or anyone else.

The Browns take on the $16mm in guaranteed money owed Brock.

This saves Houston $16mm in cash and $10mm in cap room.

Part with Watt, we'll ship him first class overnight .
