Honestly never understood the "just release him " mentality from jerry.
His biggest fault as a gm has been his obsession with being liked by the players.
Try getting him to "just release" an oil well or two and see how that goes.

I don't think that being genuine and caring about people is having an obsession with being liked by them.

You guys don't think that there's a possibility that Houston might be going after Garoppolo?

I've thought about that myself. Not sure if Bill would help make them better, unless he feels Jimmy isn't any good.

That team is LOADED with picks this year, and in 2018. Remains to be seen if they an use them smartly. It would be fun to be a Browns fan--at least on draft day.
They're entering the USC QB sweepstakes. They'll be crappy enough to get him or have enough picks to trade for #1.

I think if anyone goes after Jimmy G, it's the browns. They're the only team with the ammo to tempt the patriots.

It's a great trait and what has made him a terrific owner and also what has cursed his tenure as GM

So, just got out of work and surprisingly, there have been ZERO emails and texts....you come in to the ZONE, and joila!

re-cap?

* Giants - sign a WR
* Eagles - trying to follow the Giants lead, sign a WR
* Commanders - well, they could trade their QB, leaving them with dirt; they lose Jackson
* Jax - signing defense
* Cleveland - does Dallas a favor and trades for doofus QB from Houston (opens the door a smidge for a romo trade) - btw, don't they have to use up a certain amount of cap space to be within the riles (over a 4 or 5 year period)? they still could flip him?
* All of the Dallas D FA's seem to like warmer weather
* Dallas - they could possibly save face and get something, an opened box of cheerios, anything for Tony...

does that about sum it up?

I think Jerry played his cards and Houston and Denver didn't bite the bluff. Romo will be released, you'll see.
It's not about bluffing.
If these teams really want a chance to win Trevor Simien or whatever b-list qb will not get it done. Romo is a top 10qb, if you want him you should give up something or the team can wait until June 1 because it obviously doesn't matter cap wise.

Throwing this into the mix in terms of "potential" trade values on qbs out there.... holy mother...
