I was listening to 105.5 and they had Texans beat writer John Mcclain (who is a real jack wagon) on. He was trying to explain how the Texans didnt need Romo and either way Brock was going to be released and they will draft a qb in the first two rounds. It sounded as if he was coached by the team to say it.

They are built to win now but think Tom Savage could lead them to a Superbowl. Yeah right, Ill buy that lol.

Oh, so they are going to challenge the Pats in the AFC with a first or second round rookie QB under center:huh:

I guess they think that if Dallas can hit the lottery with a rookie franchise QB, so can they............well, good luck with that:thumbup:

If the Cowboys get offered a 4th they better take it because that is the best offer they will ever get. I'd like to say 3rd but just don't see that happening. Would love to be proven wrong.

Agreed.............I don't see anything better than a 4th if we are being realistic here.

Anything past the 4th is really not worth it, I would rather have the extra cap space from a June 1 release than a 6th rounder.

I think this thing probably gets resolved over the weekend, either we complete a trade or we release him on Monday.

Usually you can hear some rumors about what is going on at a couple of sites around the net, but right now there is nothing being said about any Romo trade.

Very weird to not being hearing any chatter, either whatever was in the works fell through and Romo is going to just be released soon or the trade negotiations are being done super quietly.

I guess we will find out pretty soon, this has been entertaining if nothing else.:D

It's likely in a holding pattern waiting on one party or the other to flinch.

The thing is, Dallas doesn't need to move Romo for any reason. They don't need the space to sign any free agents, there's no roster bonus and they were going to June 1st him anyways.

Denver has QBs, but they're not the caliber you expect to compete for a SB with and/or too young and inexperienced in Lynch's case. They also have a roster who is being poached every year and has stars who are already in their prime, or on the backend of it.

Houston is completely screwed. There's not many options for a QB for them besides Savage. Their roster is similarly built with stars either aging or soon to be needing huge contracts.

Both teams need to capitalize on a window that has been open for awhile and can only be propped open for so long. They also can't sit idly by waiting on Romo to be released while all the other FAs sign elsewhere. They need to know soon.

The Cowboys have an advantage here, it's just a question of will they hold Romo against his wishes to do what's best for them.

Good points, your probably right about them waiting for somebody to flinch.

That's your opinion. That's all it is. It's not a fact so you shouldn't assert as if it is a fact.

Your opinion may turn out to be correct. I believe Romo is worth more than you do. Time will tell what what the compensation is. I hope it is more. I think you hope we get less. I'm not sure why.!
Its a fact that they're not getting a 1st for Romo. Lol it's insane to even think they can. And why would I hope we get less?

63 pages? That must be a record in that amount of time.

I'd love a nice summary.

Romo is still a cowboy as of 6:00am EST

However Jimmy Garrapolo had a post on instagram at 4am saying it was great being (as in former) a patriot. Maybe he has been traded while many slept ... but to whom ??? The plot thickens

In other news relative to Tony Romo
Many still mistakenly claim that Houston no longer has a 2nd round pick in 2017 to use in a trade as they supposedly gave it to the Browns in a trade earlier Thursday when in fact the 2nd round pick they gave was actually 2018's and Houston still has their 2017 2nd round pick .. this has been yet another public service announcement in all is quiet on the wire
