That's the stupidity of this team, why even tip your hand, if you can't reclaim the cap space until June 1, why even say anything, by then what good would that money do this team? The only FA left at that point are just pieces, but not solutions...hang onto Romo until someone is in need of a QB and willing to trade, otherwise let him compete for the starting job. This team needs a GM in the absolute worst way, I don't care how fond Jones is of Tony...this is a business, now lets run this team as a business, trade Romo for the best pick available, I don't care who offers it, take it.

Patience grasshoppa.

I saw a report saying they wanted the 1st pick and a 1st next year for him. Have fun Texans.
If Cleveland gives that for a guy who played 6 quarters in the most QB friendly environment in football, they are even more insane than anyone thinks. Especially giving in to the emperor.

Well, I lived in the Houston area most of my life. Most of my life there was no internet lol so he was what I listened to and read.

As far as him blindly discrediting the cowboys, that's just not true. He gets bashed by cowboy, titan and Texan fans because each fan base thinks he's a homer for the other fan base. That means he's doing his job right lol. He grew up a cowboy fan, been writing in Houston for over 40 years. So he has has ties with the titans and does a show their once a week. Of course ties to the Texans. No ties to the cowboys except him growing up a fan. Hes fair with all teams. Fans just tend to listen and hear what they want lol.
It's obvious that he's being used in this instance though.

Sure but Dallas has no reason to devalue their asset because of their buyer's sunk costs.
To add to my last post, I think Houston caves in the next 24 hours. If free, Romo is likely to sign with Denver. Houston gave up a pick just to be able to get the money to sign Romo. If they lose Romo, they just traded a 2nd round pick to be able to get out of a contract 1 year earlier. Doesnt get them anywhere closer to a Super Bowl, and make there decision to trade Brock rather poor. They could have held Brock and cut him next year

But it could be why they are hesitant to give up a day two. However if im on the mark, eventually one of them will budge

Glennon is off the board but I don't believe that the Pats aren't willing to move Garoppolo so there is another avenue for QB hungry teams to pursue.

I think there is a good chance that those are not the only two teams interested in Romo and we should not assume the ones negotiating with the press are the only ones.

I'm with you I think one of them will blink before this weekend is over.

It might be hard to get a top pick this year but if there isn't at least the possibility of getting a top pick next year I'll be disappointed. Sure, Tony could go down early, but they could also hit paydirt with this deal.

I could see Arizona jumping in. Perhaps KC as well

If Houston or Denver really want Romo they should cave pretty soon unless the Cowboys are bending them over and giving them the business.....which I hope they are!!

I think Garapolo will cost a whole lot in a trade. I think they are gonna look for 2 #1's

All of sudden, Cleveland on paper has one of the best olines in the league.
Could it be that they finally know what they're doing?

Now, about the rest of that team:muttley:

That is what they said to the press at least. It's obvious they want one of the firsts from the Browns. Makes a 2nd for Romo an absolute bargain in comparison. Garoppolo did not exactly set the world on fire before getting hurt.
