Verdict;1468894 said:It sounds like Julius Jones is one of your favorite Cowboys players. That is cool. I am sure most of us have one. One of my personal favorites is Roy Williams, partially because he was a Sooner.
In my mind, I can think of lots of excuses why Roy got beat, say, on a particular deep pass, for instance. In my mind I often wonder if he got beat because it was someone else's assignment, etc. In reality we will never know whose fault it really was.
My long winded point is that although he is one of my favorites, I am still objective enough to think that maybe he got beat because he just played poorly that particular game, or made a bad decision on that particular play. I am hoping that we get a ballhawking safety and we will find out just how good he really is, and if he is as good as I hope he is.
Your unwavering support of Julius Jones is admirable as a fan of the Cowboys, but realistically, I think that most of the board would say that Jones has underperformed according to the expectations we had for him as a whole. Your belief that nothing is Jones' fault and that he is a hall of fame caliber back if not for the multitude of excuses you make for him would put you in the minority for one, and hurts your credibility for two.
Then again, I am objective enough to understand that while you hold the minority view, you could still be right. I will just believe it when I see it. You are however, entitled to your opinion. Moreover just because I do not subscribe to your opinion does not make it wrong, or vice versa.
I don't make these numbers up.
If I believed that Julius deserved it, then I would be giving plenty of hate.
Trust me. [Some of you know how I feel about Henry]
Julius is an extremely talented RB.
