We've won so many that it's always the games we lose that stand out to me.

The Mark Brunell game where Aaron Glenn and Roy Williams had a meltdown really sticks out.

RG3 on 1 leg and Jason Garrett having an awful gameplan that caused us to miss the playoffs.

They haven't beaten us a lot over the years but when they have it really sticks out in my mind.

1. Roger's final regular season game in '79, 35-34 final to win the East: So many great moments in and around that game. Ron Springs coming up big in Dorsett's absence; huge game from Tony Hill; Larry Cole stoning Riggins on 3rd and 1; Harvey Martin and the funeral wreath; and, of course, Staubach's final march.

2. The '83 opener on MNF: Less than eight months after Darryl Grant put the nail in our coffin to seal Washington's SB berth, the Cowboys returned to RFK for the Monday Night opener. I loved that stadium and how raucous it would get, particularly when Dallas played there. After trailing 23-3 at the half, Danny hit Tony Hill for two bombs to spearhead a 31-30 victory.

That Commander victory in 1983 would be the first of seven straight to open (also started 9-1 that season), but our season ended at Texas Stadium in the WC round, losing to rookie Eric Dickerson and the Rams. Also, the Commanders would only lose one other regular season game that year, to Green Bay at Lambeau (also on Monday Night, and again by 1 point). They wouldn't lose again until SB XVIII.

Unfortunately the MNF game in 2005 when the Triplets went into the ring of honor, I was there and I still can't get the taste out of my mouth.

From Wikipedia:
Going into the game, the Dallas Cowboys had won 14 of the last 15 meetings between the two teams. The Commanders had not won in Texas Stadium since 1995. After holding a 13–0 lead with 3:46 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Commanders came out with an extremely improbable rally late in the fourth quarter to stun the Cowboys 14–13 when Mark Brunell threw two touchdown passes to Santana Moss. It was an extremely painful loss for the Cowboys, and it was the first time (after 77 times) that Coach Parcells lost after going into the fourth quarter with at least a 13-point lead.

Think it was 1983. Monday night game. The game Green ran down Dorsett (hated that play), but ole' Danny White/Tony Hill had a great game.

Wow... memories! Was this the game we were down 23-3 at half and came back to win 31-30 off those White to Hill bombs? I think it is... absolutely one of the best... I would say Tony Dorsett is a huge part of why I became a Boys fan.

Season opener of 1999. What a game!
I recall that game vividly as I was watching it out of market (living in SF) and they cut away coverage just as the 4th quarter comeback was underway to go to local team games. I was furious and freaking out!?! Had to high tail it to a sports bar just in time to see us tie it up and win it with the Rocket in OT. Loved the look on that tool Snyder's face at the end of that game!?! Priceless!

Yes it was. As you can see I'm a huge Tony D. fan.

A friend of mine was at that 04 game, and he called me from the stadium in the 4th quarter so we could chat about what a complete piece of crap game it was. We were down 10-6 with like 45 seconds left in the game, and the Cowboys had done nothing for almost 4 quarters. All of the sudden my friend on the other end of the line go "Oh, oh, OOOHHH!!", and all I can hear is all of Texas Stadium screaming their heads off. I look at my tv, and because of the live tv delay, they haven't even snapped the ball yet. I'm like "What happened?? What happened?? Hello?!" Then I see it on tv... Testaverde hits Crayton and the Cowboys take the lead with about 30 seconds left. That was a pretty awesome ending, even if the rest of the game stunk.

And I remember that 07 game too, 4 TD's for T.O. The next day at work one of my co-workers wore his T.O. jersey, and I wore my Romo jersey. When another coworker who was a loud-mouthed skins fan came in, we recreated the 4 TD passes for him. Good times, lol!

I think this is the game I am thinking of. I was 10 years old and remember getting my Sports Illustrated magazine with a pic of a long pass to Tony Hill from that game. That pic went straight to my bedroom wall.

Good times!

Without a doubt, Clint Longley the Mad Bomber/Roger Staubach Sucka Puncher game.

No contest. Most thrilling Commanders game and most thrilling Thanksgiving Day game rolled into one.

And that it's "no contest" is pretty amazing given how many great Commanders games there are, and how many great Thanksgiving games there are in the books.
