Yes it was. As you can see I'm a huge Tony D. fan.

I remember NFL Films would always run these highlights of these beautiful long runs of his including "untouched" runs. I swear it looked like the man was gliding across the field.

Without question the most memorable Cowboys-Commanders game for me was the Clint Longley game on Thanksgiving in 1974 because it was the first time I ever saw the Cowboys play in person and the only time I ever saw them play at Texas Stadium.

Unfortunately the MNF game in 2005 when the Triplets went into the ring of honor, I was there and I still can't get the taste out of my mouth.

From Wikipedia:
Going into the game, the Dallas Cowboys had won 14 of the last 15 meetings between the two teams. The Commanders had not won in Texas Stadium since 1995. After holding a 13–0 lead with 3:46 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Commanders came out with an extremely improbable rally late in the fourth quarter to stun the Cowboys 14–13 when Mark Brunell threw two touchdown passes to Santana Moss. It was an extremely painful loss for the Cowboys, and it was the first time (after 77 times) that Coach Parcells lost after going into the fourth quarter with at least a 13-point lead.

That's the one that sticks out to me. It's always the bad ones that do it seems like.

The 1992 season opener on MNF. I never watched the game live or really saw highlights of it until I discovered during a move around 1997 that my dad, a longtime Commanders fan, had a VHS recording of it.

I must have watched that game a hundred times. From Alvin Harper'a circus catch to the blocked punt, it was fun to unearth footage showing the dawn of a dynasty as they knocked off the defending champs.

Great game... watched that in my freshman dorm. I believe Kelvin Martin returned a punt to the house and we won 23-16. My dad was also a longtime skins fan and season ticket holder.

That final pick by romo week 17 in 2012 was one of the worst throws I've ever seen in football.

Good question and thread, but there are way too many to have just one that stands out.
Probably the 1979 game when Roger brought the team from behind twice to win 35-34 to win the division.

Yup....that's the winner...and it's not even close. After John Riggins busts a long run for a TD to go up 34-14...I thought I was gonna cry as a kid. And then it happened....Still the greatest comeback IMO....Why this game doesn't get more pub is beyond me. W/ so much @ stake...they found a way. This was the game that cemented me as a Cowboy fan forever.

Favorite Cowboys-Commanders games? Here are some memorable ones to me.

1979 – The last game of the season was a classic. It was an incredible comeback by Staubach. One thing that I remember most was Riggins scoring on a long TD run with Dennis Thurman chasing him. Here is a video http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2fksii It made me so upset that Thurman could not catch him. Not long after that game, I was in junior high and there was a guy in my class who was a fast runner. Never could catch him when we played sports etc. One day I was sitting outside eating lunch when this guy came by, grabbed my small pack of cookies, and took off. I hopped up and ran after him, and imagined that I was Thurman chasing Riggins on that play. With that motivation, that was probably the fastest I ever ran in my life and I caught up and tackled him. Got my cookies back too. The other kids on the playground couldn’t believe it.

1983 – Opening Monday night game of the season and Dallas fell behind 23-3 at the half. This is the game where Darrell Green caught Dorsett from behind (hated that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Z-TBQmqp24 ) but the Cowboys came back and dominated the second half to win 31-30 and the game wasn’t as close as the final score as the Cowboys were ahead 31-23 late in the game. The next morning, I rode to school with some friends including a girl who was a cheerleader and a Commanders fan. She was ticked off that Dallas won. Really mad about it. Fun times!

1988 – Tom Landry’s last victory was against the Commanders in RFK stadium. That was the first NFL game I attended in person. Amazing experience. Michael Irvin caught three touchdowns and Dallas made a late defensive stand to win. Here is video http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4...ton-Commanders-december-11-1988-partial_sport I went to the game with two of my Commander fan cousins. They warned me not to wear my Cowboys sweatshirt, but of course I did and had no problems. The fans around us cussed the Cowboys something fierce, still they were civil to me. It was the last win for a lot of veteran Cowboys and I’m glad I got to see it. Quiet ride home though except for me rubbing it in.

1989 – This was the year that Dallas only won a single game and it was against the Commanders. It was a Sunday night game and only on cable tv. My town did not have cable so I drove two hours to a relative’s house to watch the game. He is a Commander fan of course. It was a great game and he had to go to bed early. Can’t find any video from this game, but Paul Palmer scored the only Cowboy TD.

2004 – Bad year overall for Dallas but it is always great to beat the Commanders. It was late in the season and the Cowboys were behind late in the game. My teenage daughter was at her Commander fan boyfriends house and we were on the phone. I had cable by then but the cable at her boyfriend’s house was ahead of ours and my daughter started screaming about five seconds before I saw the winning touchdown pass from Testaverde to Crayton. Video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pekJoqMICYM

1990 - My favorite game was 1990 on Thanksgiving. I was at my cousin’s house and it was filled with Commander fans. I was the only Cowboy fan there and the trash talking back and forth drowned out Madden and Summerall. Cowboys had a bunch of young players who were not yet superstars including Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Irvin. They came through and won much to the dismay of the entire house except for me. Here is video of Emmitt Smith scoring a long TD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Od1jI8WjX6A I screamed so loud I was hoarse the next day. I'm surprised they did not kick me out. Maybe this is my best memory of being a Cowboys fan ever.

Lots of other games were great over the years, but the thing about these games that stand out to me are the people that I saw them with or that they affected in some way. Love the Cowboys and love being a fan. Happy Thanksgiving all and here is to another great game tomorrow.

My favorite televised win is in 1985 when they sang happy birthday to Joe T after tossing 6 interceptions. My two favorite rivalry games I attended were at RFK. The first was in 1989 and the joy of giving back what I got going into RFK and how bad we were going to lose, and witnessing the first win of Jimmy Johnson's reign. The other was 1988 when I got see the legend coach his last win of his NFL career and the end of a legacy.

That 1988 game was cold and I remember the PA announcer never said the name of any Cowboy player only Commanders. I didn't know it was Irvin with all three touchdowns until after the game.
I had three layers on and thermal socks and I couldn't feel my toes in the upper deck. They were numb. Brutal cold.
