I'd actually rather he just let the ball go through the endzone. He seems to almost always get tackled around the 15 when brings it out. No reason in the world to be trying to act like some hero. Just give this offense the ball in the 25 to start. Is anyone else ready to test someone else on kick return? I've seen Turpin run right into guys instead of trying to avoid them. I mean he does have the speed to get to the outside and blow past guys right?? Maybe try #34 back there, see what's happens or even Tolbert. We can't say he hasn't been kicked to, because he has several times .
He has already broken a few long ones, not TDs but flipped the field. Teams are actually trying to use ball placement to limit his returnsPeople underestimate the difficulty and importance of fielding punts cleanly. Turpin is excellent at it. He will break a long one before the season is over. It's not easy.
Nope, not at this point unfortuantely.
He’s arguably the top return threat in the NFL.
He knows his ability and is frustrated, that's what is most concerning IMHO.I'd actually rather he just let the ball go through the endzone. There are a few times when he seems to regret calling for a fair catch, but I'd rather that than see him regretting not calling for a fair catch.Turp was showing obvious signs of disappointment, shaking his head walking away always makes me skeptical of our return dude, I never want to see this but it was apparent to anyone paying attention.
We need to ask ourselves why is this taking place?
Is Turp aggravated with his own decisions?
He at least knows how to field a kick without perpetual fear of dropping the ball, but I have been in his corner since we signed him and thought by now that he would have broke one.
I have my doubts as well, but Miami payed Ced a lot more to do basically the same thing, so there is that.
This is a bad thread and you should feel bad about it.Is anyone else ready to test someone else on kick return? I've seen Turpin run right into guys instead of trying to avoid them. I believe and just my honest opinion, that Turp is frustrated because he knows how he can take it to the house at any given opportunity and this just hasn't happened for him ..... yetThere are a few times when he seems to regret calling for a fair catch, but I'd rather that than see him regretting not calling for a fair catch.
He has exactly 0 fumbles.I was EXTREMELY worried about him being a fumble machine.
He is very careful and doesn’t make selfish decisions.
Worth having back there as long as he can last.
