Movies with great soundtracks?

Speaking of Townes there's another great documentary and soundtrack called "Heartworn Highways" about the early outlaw Country and country folk music. It features David Allan Coe, Guy Clark, Charlie Daniels Band, Rodney Crowell and a bunch of others including Townes.

Townes plays "Waiting Around To Die" and in the background you can see Uncle Seymour, "The Walking Blacksmith" start breaking down in the middle of the song.... powerful stuff

Watched this many a time, probably one of my favorite Townes songs. Uncle Seymour breaking down and the girl{whom i believe was Townes girlfriend at the time}consoling him gets me every time.

Townes could write a sad song, that's for sure. Austin City Limits did a tribute show after Townes passed away. Nanci Griffith covered Townes "Tecumseh Valley" and starts crying during the song...... gets me every time.

Just watched it, pretty powerful stuff.

It was actually written by Townes Van Zandt, one of the greatest songwriters that ever lived.
There was a documentary about his life called "Be Here To Love Me" and is an absolute must watch for any Townes fan.
