Movies with great soundtracks?

That was cool to see at the time. I think he'd just finished working on David Lee Roth's first solo album when that movie came out, or maybe his own first solo album?

I don't remember, too many beers between then and now but definitely possible.

anatomy of a murder.

Another Good call Roadtrip!

While the movie Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was absolutely horrible, the soundtrack must be pretty good.

Yeah....

But the thing I don't like about this album is that a lot of the songs are performed by other artists. Not the Beatles.

more great tunes from his best movie and soundtrack.
this was the b-side to the iconic jailhouse rock.

thats Elvis playin the bass intro.
bill black got up-set and slid the electric bass across the floor cause he couldn't do it.
Elvis picked it up and got it on the first take.

beautiful song...one of his best movie ballads.

That's what I like. It's basically a tribute album. Obviously not as good as the original Beatles album, but I don't think they were trying to outdo them.

I agree. I think you are dead on there but, for me, I'd rather hear the Beatles. Although, I do really like the sound track for Yesterday by Himesh Patel so.........

i posted the title track earlier.
heres some more great ones from an excellent soundtrack.
including this monster hit.

best song on the album.
an all-time fav.

Elvis' mom and dad...vernon and gladys...are sitting in the audience during this scene.
seated behind the lady wearing the white hat when Elvis is dancing in the isle.

King Creole was always my favorite Elvis movie, always loved the beginning.
one of my favorite scenes from his movies.
great album.
it was his favorite movie of the ones he did.
in girls girls girls...his boat is called King Fisher...named in honor of this movie.

Yes! Crossroads.........

Good call Roadtrip.

"Lightning" solid pick Brother!

Ry Cooder wrote many of the songs and played much of the guitar parts is an amazing musician, very underrated. He produced the Album "Buena Vista Social Club" which also became a documentary. He helped round up many legendary Cuban musicians and record and document Cuban music. The film is about the process of recording, performing and stories of these musicians. Very cool film and soundtrack for anybody that likes world, Latin, or Caribbean music.
