The Bengals scored over 30 in four losses this year.
In two loses to Baltimore, Joe Burrow put up combined numbers that used to take half a season to accumulate.
The dude is being wasted in Cincy.

The story ends of MNF for Dallas unless something freakish occurs. Cincy's defense is horrible.
Dallas will need to win TOP by a lot to have a chance.
Think Parcells SB, NYG vs. Buffalo. In that SB the high powered Bills only had the ball for 19 minutes.
(It still took a missed FG to win.)

I'm thinking Burrow introduces himself to a bunch of Cowboys fans on MNF. Then we can re-visit these ludicrous comparisons of QBs.

The Bengals D is God awful. Throw in a zero run game and it's up to Joey B to win every game. That's a recipe for failure long term.

We've forced some turnovers, but our red-zone scoring is among the worst in the league.
To the advantage of Dallas, the current QB has not been asked to do much...use him to do more than simple. With Cook back and able to bring a lot more speed into work and the return of Ferguson, Red Zone should be no problem. Just keep running the ball.

Head Coaches motivation is making Jerry looking good again in his home stadium and fans happy again here and now.

Some issues remain. They are still allowing an average of 28 points per game. Opponents have scored points on their first possessions in 10 of 12 games. In the wins against the Commanders and Giants, the late-game execution was lacking. See Terry McLaurin’s 86-yard touchdown catch for Washington and the Giants’ 80-yard touchdown drive that made it a one-score game with 2:18 to play...

There also might be a Parsons’ effect.

After missing four games with a high left ankle sprain, Parsons has played in the past four games and has 5.5 sacks. He leads the team with 6.5 sacks, despite missing 17 quarters of action with the injury.

In the first seven games, they allowed over 400 yards four times. Teams averaged 7 yards per play and converted more than 40% of their third-down opportunities in four games. The Cowboys allowed 31 runs of 10 yards or more and 22 passes of 20 yards or more. They had only four interceptions and one fumble recovery. In the past five games, the Cowboys have allowed more than 400 yards once, and that came with the Washington Commanders gaining more than 200 yards on their final three possessions. They gave up more than 6.2 yards per play just once. They have not allowed a team to convert more than 40% of their third-down opportunities. The Cowboys have given up 17 runs of 10 yards or more and 11 passes for 20 yards or more. In the first seven games, the defense faced short-field situations eight times and gave up points six times. In the past five games, they have faced that situation 14 times and given up points eight times while also creating two takeaways.

I know they had 2 Superbowl victories between them. Last I checked, quarterbacks aren't drafted to win All Pro ribbons.... they're drafted to win Superbowls kid.

That was a great deflection post to avoid answering my original questions though lil guy.
well in a way he has a point. QBs are drafted to win superbowls but the question is which QBs would you have picked to build a team to win a superbowl. Dilfer was done. Ravens signed him out of desperation. in that season, he was injured and they had Tony Banks start. they went three games not scoring more than 10 points and won those games... its how you build a team to win a superbowl, that's the key.
and right now, KC has lucked into Mahomes and he is 50% of what they need to win a superbowl. take him out and KC is an average team.
and last I checked there is only one Mahomes. nobody else in the league comes close. even Burrows is no longer a Elite QB, because his team is 4-8 and no recent success (the measure of eliteness according to many on this board).
the only other QB who teases is Allen and he is an enigma at times.
the other 30 are there and need strong support around them to succeed. everyone was licking Purdy's boots, until he lost some of his weapons and he looks below average. all the rest are very similar.

With Ferguson and Luke Schoonmaker on field with the speed of Lamb, Cook, and Turpin and a run game now...Red Zone problems against anyone should start disappearing now.

FRISCO, Texas – Cooper Rush is a veteran quarterback, but doesn't have a lot of in-game experience. Barring an injury, he'll have started at least nine games for the Cowboys in place of the injured Dak Prescott, nearly double his career starts coming into the season. As time has passed, the Cowboys are getting more and more accustomed to Rush and what he's comfortable with.

"I think you'd be remised if you said no," Cowboys offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer said when asked if the confidence level in Rush grows week to week in terms of knowing what he wants. "The more you're around the guy when he's playing and even me on the sidelines talking to him during the week… but it's not just us, it's the players, it's the guys you're throwing to."

In his four starts this season, Rush has seen a growth week-to-week in his QBR and has led the Cowboys to back-to-back victories over division opponents. A large part of that success has come from being on the same page with Mike McCarthy as the play caller, as well as his receivers.

Yeah I was responding to the person who gave a bunch of useless excuses for Burrows.

That doesn't fly around here. If we're saying everything right or wrong rests on the deeds of OUR quarterbacks.... then that same logic has to be applied to ALL other quarterbacks. Everytime i see the excuses, goal post moving and just total hypocrisy for other quarterbacks, I will respectfully remind and address it on the spot.

The Bengals defense is terrible. Burrow carried the Bengals on his shoulders. Just for the record, Dak Prescott ain't half as good as Joe Burrow. He is top three.
Carried them to 4-8? You'd think he could lift them a little higher.. At some point people will start to realize this is a team game and the QB cannot do it all on his own no matter how much the idiots try to tell us they do.
