Murray's prime was that long either.I think prime Zeke was a little better but his prime was so short it makes me lean towards Murray........
Dorsett had that "juke and go" along with speed. He was very entertaining to watch. Emmitt was patient, and knew how to find those holes for big gains. Emmitt's longevity made him great and being the all-time NFL rushing leader gives him the edge.No that would be emmitt versus Tony...

Oh, for sure. I like Elliott, and would take him over Murray any day, prime or not.https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask?q=dallas+cowboys+all-time+rushing+leaders
that's why this is interesting if you look at the yards per game and the yards per rush for the some of the top backs in Dallas cowboy history the elliott's name is up there he's right in the mix and people I think have taking what he's done because it's suspension and some of his the way he dresses that nose ring the hair and they pretty much downgraded them for no real reason this man was one of the best running backs in college and the pros even if it was a short career... I mean I really don't understand the hate if you look at some of the guys who made the Hall of Fame on sheer potential that were injured and never had the career they were supposed to but somehow ended up in the Hall of Fame
umm like Gale Sayers for instance had a very short career because of injuries and whatnot he made the whole of fame with some average numbers by today's standards.. So we're holding against them because they only had a really short prime I'm pretty sure most running backs had a short prime except for Emmitt Smith and maybe a handful of guys recently that were trying to catch him it's very hard for a running back to have a long crime especially one that's overused in college... They used up Ezekiel Elliott at Ohio State and he still came in and had four to five really good years here...
And by the way if you really want a tiebreaker Murray versus Elliott look at the touchdowns it's not even close so we have a back that can score a lot of touchdowns has really good yardage great blocker that's why I'm taking Elliot over Murray every time...
Positive like what long speed maybe but he has 49 career touchdowns and zekiel Elliott 71 and that's just rushing touchdowns.. And as Cowboys careers go it's not even close Elliott on the all time list is 3 and Murray's way down there he didn't stay here long enough.. But even as a career Elliott has 2000 more yards and counting... He had way more big years and all this explosive you guys just think about a handful of plays and that one great year he only played seven years and four of them were under 900 yards so in my opinion the dude was underachieving compared to his real talent he should have had a lot more yards and touchdowns he didn't he added the fumbles Elliott hands down should be everyone's choice if they keep perspective... Elliott's career he has numbers that stack up against some of the Hall of Fame running backs Murray falls short of that he didn't do it consistently enough Elliott did it right out-of-the-box back-to-back 1800 yards and college has one of the best fit all time best rookie production from a running back it would have had three straight rushing crowns out of College in the pros had it not been for suspension and even during the year he was suspended he led the league in yards per game...Murray was the more explosive back imo.
I think murray should have been worrying about holding onto the ball more, but Peppers did make a real play thereMurray did take a lot of heat for that fumble, but I saw it differently. Peppers, the new HOF inductee, made a hell of a play.
would have been something to see. But que sera seraI would have liked to see prime zeke with prime romo and dez.
Elliott. Murray had trouble staying healthy, even in his prime. It's probably one of the main reasons the Joneses didn't back the Brinks truck up to his driveway like they did for Elliott.Just curious which of these backs you would prefer if you were starting a team and they were in their prime. I know they were both great and all but sometimes I feel Demarco Murray doesn't get quiet the credit when discussing former Cowboy RB's.....
I enjoyed Barber more than any other Cowboys RB since Emmitt. I knew we had a special player from the first game Parcells played him as a rookie, I believe against the Cardinals.Zeke and it's not even close. Marion was the last Jersey I bought.
Zeke hands downJust curious which of these backs you would prefer if you were starting a team and they were in their prime. I know they were both great and all but sometimes I feel Demarco Murray doesn't get quiet the credit when discussing former Cowboy RB's.....
LOL I get it. I just enjoyed watching Murray's running style of the two. But yes, Zeke was historically great early on. The whole suspension thing sucked in Year 2.If you say Murray, log off this site. Football isnt for you
Rookie Zeke is one of the best backs to ever suit up for this team. Wouldve broke Dickerson’s record if Garrett had a pair
