Musical artists you've gotten grief over for liking or disliking

I love classic rock. With that said,

I get grief for my hatred of Elvis and Bob Dylan.

I get grief for my ability to listen to soft stuff like Air Supply, Christopher Cross, NKOTB, Nsync, or yacht rock.

None that I recall. I listen to what I want and never get a complaint. I also never get into musical discussions...music is like a lot of thinks...subjective. I love classic rock (60's, 70's and British Invasion). I certainly understand why some would not like it. I sometimes play my BT speaker at work with classic rock and no one complains...

I never get the Dylan haters. Everything about Dylan is amazing.

Not true. I like some of his stuff, but for the most part, I find his voice horrendous.

His voice has changed a dozen times through the years just as his style and his band have. he is different and different is good.

Isn't it interesting how the headline is defining this thread?

Who gives a flying **** if someone else doesn't like your music? Same goes if you don't like theirs.

Some act as if they're going to change someone's taste in music by attacking what they like or defending what they do like.

"You can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself".....Rick Nelson. Yeah, I like him, so what?

"One man's trash is another man's treasure"......Fred Sanford.

"There's many a mickle makes a muckle"...... Unknown Ancient Scottish Bloke.

I got some heated comments about me liking disco and punk music .. and lately for not liking rap

It's by no means a comparison of talent, nor am I denying Elvis place in history of Rock and Roll. I think I dislike him because I keep getting dragged to Graceland by my wife. Elvis is costing me money. Air Supply never took a nickel from me. :)

I was super unimpressed with Graceland. It's not exactly in a great neighborhood either. lol Not that I ever felt unsafe, I guess I just had it pictured differently.
