We all have different taste in music, and that's fine. Life would be boring if we all liked the same stuff. Post artists who you've gotten grief over either for liking or disliking. Here are mine.

Got grief for liking:
Kiss -- I love them for their music. Their stage shows and theatrics were way cool too, but for me it was always about the music.
Tiffany -- Some people disliked her, but I really thought she had a powerful set of pipes and could belt out a tune. Gonna see her perform tonight in Omaha.
Abba -- I was always surprised by people disliking Abba. I thought they had a unique and amazing sound from their complex vocal harmonies.

Got grief for disliking:
Pink Floyd
The Doors
-- I'm not saying these two bands are not talented. Clearly they are. They just don't jive with my personal taste. I dislike them both for the same reason: Their music creeps me out.

Okay, your turn. Remember, it's okay to like something that others don't or to dislike something that's popular. Whatever works for you is cool.
Lol, if pink floyd and the doors creep you out you may not have even survived the late 60's, early 70's which imo is the Golden era of the most awesome music ever created.

Aka Viet nam war era music.

I've discovered something about womenfolk and their likes as opposed to most guys. There are 3 things that a lot of guys like that women don't, pork skins, The 3 Stooges and Pink Floyd.

I can still remember fondly when my wife first discovered I had seen all of the 3 Stooges short films and that I still watched them, she never looked at me the same after that. When I bought the entire collection on VHS, I had to hide them. Most men hide porn from their wives, I hid my 3 Stooges collection. I had to fight the urge, when we were being romantic, to go "n'yuk, n'yuk, n'yuk" and at the crescendo not go "woo woo woo".

I recently discovered on facebook that guys love the movie The Warriors and women think it's the worst movie ever. lol 'hated every second of it' quoted form a female critic..

I have to say, this is a surprising revelation.......I'm bringing the ring back to Jared's.
Hold up! Hold up! HOLD UP! Is the withholding of jewelry over Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd? No compromise on LZ, but we might find common ground on Pink Floyd. I don't get PF, but I do speak diamond. Talk purty to me. To quote Frasier Crane "I'm listening". :)

Now Coach, I love the Three Stooges. My ex wanted to watch opera in one room. He made me shut the door as I watched my pre recorded games in my Cowboys Cave. After a while, he poked his nose in to see what I was laughing about. He saw Larry, Moe :omg:and Curly:lmao:, shook his head :banghead:and shut the door. The Pink Floyd part was legitimate intel although pork skins are up for debate.

Your wife’s a keeper. lol maybe it’s just a small minority. But they were not loving it.

I didn't mention of lack of cooking skills did I. Anyways I remember when the movie came out, I had to beg my Mom to take us to go see it. It really got a bad rap when it was released because of the "violence".

Being from NJ you should be a Springsteen or Bon Jovi fan. Don't like either one.
Same, though as I get older I don't mind them as much. Used to be I couldn't change the station fast enough when Bruce came on. Now that's only true when Rush or the Police are playing.

Agree with the Police. Can't say I'm a huge fan of Rush, but I put them above those 3. Gotta be in the mood. Plus the radio will play the same few songs over and over. That doesn't help.

I think I had to wait for the TV version. Definitely didn't see it in the movies. A lot of violence, that's what made it great.

I married my wife when my step daughter 13. She is now 41. Early on she used to make fun of me because I listened to Ann Murray. I loved Ann Murray. My step daughter used to mock me. Of course pay back was ***** when her favorite group at the time Mili Vanilli was busted for their lip sycning. I still dont let her forget that.

I am like Sam....I like what I like and if you don't like it...sucks to be you.

With that said...I would get some strange looks when I would be playing some thrash like Metallica/Megadeth and a few minutes later start playing, and singing along to, Frank Sinatra lol.

Same here, if someone were to spend time with me on the patio, they'd be wary and think I've got a soundtrack for all of my personalities.
