I see exactly what the people who can't get over the Star thing, and have no problem with it...but I will also say that as mutch as I was P@##ed off at him when he did his trick on the star, having watched T.O. over the years I can say that WE fans have spent a LOT more time analyzing his motives that day than he ever did. If you look at all of his other celebrations, this one was rather mild.
In terms of being the only player to mock the Cowboys in front of 55,000 fans, what about Buddy Ryan calling a fake kneel down play and scoring a late trash TD? What about Deion Sanders as a Niner showboating in the 1994 NFC Championship game, what about all of the hundreds of players over the years who have been quoted talking trash about "Americas Team"?
I don't like T.O. at all and am one of those players who voted #3 as I would rather he not be associated with the team. However, you play the games to win the Super Bowl and T.O. makes us a very improved team.

I know a lot of people who were rabid Cowboy fans who have never cheered for them since Jerry fired Landry, and you know what...I understand that completely. I was also crushed by the horrible, classless way that was handled. I know some other fans who will turn from the team if we sign T.O. and I understand that completely as well.

But no matter what happens, I cheer for the men with the stars on their helmets. I have come to the conclusion that it is imprinted in my DNA and I'm not gonna change. I've cheered for Harold Carmichael, I've cheered for Randal Cunningham, hell I've ever cheered for Ryan Leaf. And yes, I'll cheer for T.O. while at the same time, hoping we bring in George Teague as an assistant to keep his sorry a@@ in line.

A reasonable post, even though I don't agree with your ultimate conclusion. I discovered after the Landry firing, I can root for no one but the Cowboys. But if T.O. is on the Cowboys, I won't watch the NFL. At all.

According to the latest poll on this website, little more than 20% of Cowboys fans who surf the internet and have seen that thread are purebred, diehard Cowboys fans. My conclusion is that the bulk of the purebred, diehard Cowboy fans don't surf this website.

So let me get this straight. You are one of the rare purebred diehard Cowboy fans...yet will quit being a Cowboy fan if a certain player is signed? I am confused.

Apparently, we are not real fans if we think Owens improves our chances of winning the Super Bowl.

I think the proof maybe in the pudding.
I think the skins signing maybe proof that the rumor is true or they believe it.

TO will produce on the field if he comes to Dallas as projected.
He won't be primary like with the Eagles, but he would produce big time.

Adding him would mean we have a great core of receivers.
Fill up that OL with good quality run/pass blockers and Julius and Barber and maybe even tyson at times just might light the place up every week.

I'm not a fan of his ego and all, but like every addition/deletion in the pass that I didn't agree with life goes on and I will continue to cheer for the one and only...

America's Team... The Dallas Cowboys!!!!

For those of you talking about quiting football and all pls don't give TO that much power.
