Garrett

I have been hard on Garrett the past couple seasons, well basically since he took over. With his call to fake the punt to swing momentum and to rely on his strength of the team in overtime to go for a 4and 1. Also I want to say that a lot of teams would have given up with a game like that when nothing is going your way. But Garrett's teams have always played hard for him, which is another good sign of a good coach.

With the development of Dak, dealing with the injuries and creating a team environment, I want to publicly go on record that I am eating crow about Garrett and he is starting to win me over.

But tonight, he definitely coached a good game, was aggressive and played to win. My game ball goes to Garrett for his performance tonight.

Good game Garrett. You deserve a game ball.

Aggression was good.
Playcalling, particularly last 2 drives of regulation, was horrid.
Where was the screen to Zeke or WR?

yeah that playcalling on the last 2 drives of regulation was awful. I hold a football for good luck and through it against the wall like 4 times during those drives. It's like we didn't even try and stop the blitz. That was frustrating to watch. I thought it was a wrap at that point. I thought we'd for sure kick the FG at 4th and 1 and then when our offense went out there I thought it would be to draw them offsides. then they went for it. I was like, "Where's this coach been the last couple years". Good call Garrett

Dez Bryant on going for it on fourth down in OT: "Everybody on the sideline said, 'Let's go for it. Let's win it.'"

Jack Del Rio has some competition in the brass balls competition.

I thought play calling was the worst of the year, on Dak's INT we started from shotgun three straight times. Beyond the fake punt and going for it it, both of which were gutsy calls, I felt play calling left something to be desired. It might also be that Philthy really dictated our flow on offense fir part of the game.

Still not fan of empty set in the red zone.

But hey, the fake punt and that 4th down in the OT were huge decisions, balls of steel. That jet sweep vs Packers was pretty awesome too. Yeah, kudos to the guy this season.

I agree. There must have been something they saw on film which lead them to believe they would get a favorable coverage or something. But it doesn't make sense to completely eliminate Zeke from the equation especially when Dak wasn't really seeing things clearly up to that point.

Too soon - too soon. I did the same thing and ate crow on Red after the 2014 season then had to regurgitate it back up in 2015.

Garrett needs to prove it to me for more than one season now for me to buy in again. Fool me once ...

Good Lord. Garrett was a football dolt to end the half and at the end of regulation. 3 plays took 19 seconds off the clock and gave the ball back to Philly with a chance to win it. And going shotgun on 1st and goal from the 5 twice which led to an INT was just plain stupid.

Winning cures all I guess.......
