My message to Dak after watching Rush gave a winning record as the starter

Dak is likable. He's an upstanding guy. His record is 76-46 so he has a winning record too. Some people hate him because of the contract, but he's not the one you should be mad at. I love Rush's 9-4 record, but he is not better than Dak. He is cheaper, but not better. Dak isn't going anywhere. Might as well root for him.

It's fair to wonder if Dak will ever rise up in the postseason.

It's fair to even think that he never will. He choked like a dog vs Green Bay.

But Dak has nothing left to prove as a "regular season QB." Cooper Rush doing well as a backup doesn't change that.

Dak is 76 and 46 as a starter. You guys who say rush is better, Dallas only scored 3 points in the second half and the defense saved them these last 4 games. Watch film and you will see Rush is not better he is benefitting from a line that blocks and a defense that has figured it out

It's silly to debate all this. Dak isn't it, he's proven that many times and he's regressing. Cooper isn't it either, the guy is a great backup QB and on a very very good team he might could win in the playoffs but he isn't overtly talented.

If this team is smart which it is not we will invest in the QB position and get rid of Dak regardless of the cap implications. Other teams do it, look at the Falcons.

It’s worth noting he was having the worse season of his career last year and went on to be a MVP candidate. Hard to a guy based on 5 or 6 games.

Yup, got blessed with the worst pass defense schedule in the league and totally redeemed himself.

I am wondering if the issue is Dak has too much freedom. Rush seemed to audible a lot less and go with what was called more often which allowed the run game to get going and that changed the direction of the season.

If they take a way his ability to audible quite as much and force the run game things "could" be different. Rush with a play action pass game was loads better than Dak dropping back 40 times with no run game.

I am hopefully that both Dak and Mike take a hard look at the night and day difference between the offense under Cooper and learn the hard lessons from it.

Rush is a backup. Always will be. You're trying to insinuate I think he's better than Dak. I don't. I also don't think Dak is a good QB in the playoffs which is when it really counts. It's been the narrative of his entire career. When the opponent is good, when the stakes are the highest, that's when Dak crumbles. He'll lead a few TD drives when the game is out of reach to make his stats respectable but they will always come up short.

.....that's a criteria completely unacceptable for the Haters. Jameis Winston gets more love than Dak.

That’s the GM his job finding football players, I rather have a team full of fourth round players that love the game than a team of total first rounders looking for a paycheck. A lot of teams right now have a lot of injured players and they are actually playing better.

My issue in relation to the contract is we paid a guy who openly admits to struggling with his post snap read. There’s a lot of film breakdown confirming this especially in the playoffs. My other issue is his refusal to take snaps under center and the impact it has on the run game. Lastly, his ego. Last night during the broadcast when they were talking about the “here we go”, Dak always has to be front and center even while on IR.
