Thumbs up for finding a way to get Wagner, Hopkins, and get real use out of Tolbert, but idk about drafting a 1st round RB after signing a top tier RB. even if your plan is to move on from Pollard after a couple seasons. I see Paris Johnson Jr. OT out of Ohio State would still be on the board. That would be my pick over Bijan Robinson if we are keeping Pollard for a couple years and letting go of Steele.
I don't view weapons as a negative. That's just me. The best player in the draft falls to 26, crazy not to take him. Be a rb or not. We already know Pollard is best around 15 -20 total touches a game.

Skill position junky that doesn’t understand that football is won in the trenches.

By the way do you know how amazing it was that Tyron even played last yr? I had said as soon as the reports were out noway is he back this yr. His body, the injury history the yrs of play. And just the injury off the bone. What I'm getting at is, do you know just how right his body was last yr before this happened to be able to come back from that injury and play. Not just play but start and didn't have any restrictions. And what had we heard last yr that he felt great. That injury could've happened to anybody.

I just look at the whole picture. And I think he's good. And playing the right side could add a couple yrs to his career. He's only 32, doesn't turn 33 until dec
Tyron is done. And your entire plan here relies on him being healthy and top notch.

Its a very deep RB draft. Bijan may be ahead of the rest of the RBs, but it doesn't mean someone like Zach Charbonnet in the 2nd or Tank Bigsby in the 3rd wouldn't still be great parings with Pollard and be just as effective as a duo as Pollard/Robinson would. Just my opinion though. my prefer way of building a team is start in the trenches and they will make everyone else job easier. Still I love your free agency haul. A trio of Lamb, Hopkins, & healthy Gallup would easily be the best in the league.

The team isn't building. They're built, they're just adding prices.

And yeah you can draft later round guys, but I'm talking about drafting the best player in the draft. You don't pass that up, especially with Philly right there ready to scoop him up a couple picks down.

Why not?

Since some of you can't read anything other then Tony Pollard. I say 4 yrs 40 mil 16 mil sb.

This next part I post explaining

Yr 1 6mil cap hit
Yr 2 10 mil caphit.

Cut. You paid him 16 mil over 2 yrs. But you still got Bijan, and you draft another. I can guarantee you if Bijan is there at 26 he's the pick. End of story.
its not about the money. its about wasted draft pick. you keep pollard and draft a top RB. why? makes zero sense. why not a top CB? or LB? or DT? or WR?, bigger needs than a position already you filled filled. you created depth with the first pick, not address needs. btw, top 3 rushing teams in the league. missed the playoffs. the next two giants and philly had running QBs.

With Paris Johnson Jr left on the board, I don't know if Robinson is head and shoulders the best player left on the board though. One fills a long term need made when Steele was allowed to get poached by the Chiefs and the other would be splitting snaps with a premier RB just entering his prime that just got paid. I just don't see the teams front office pulling the trigger on a 1st round back if they are putting there confidence in Pollard. If there plan is to go Robinson or even Gibbs in the 1st, why not just keep Zeke on a reduced contract and use the money pollard would have gotten to keep Steele and secure our long term future at OT? you get your 1st round playmaker and you keep your good young OT. One of which gets very high praise from Zach Martin for his run blocking.

Just terrible use of the cap and draft capital.

Robinson might be one of the more overrated prospects by Cowboys fans. People are acting like he's some sort of generational talent. He's not.

Frankly, I don't think the gap is soooooo great that you wouldn't be wiser using early picks on the lines and coming back with a TB in the middle rounds, especially with Pollard tagged. With Pollard tagged, at worst, you are looking at a dual backfield splitting carries. Not sure using a first round pick on a TB that isn't going to get the bulk of carries makes much sense.

Lol so your post history, everybody's idea, you think you can come up with better. In one post you said you could name 12 replacements. Put your money were your post is.

yes, a wasted pick. when you have needs at DT, DE, LB, Saftey, CB, WR and you draft for depth!@!!!

if you would have said, not resign Pollard and draft Robinson, then you would have had a reasonable case. but not in the approach you took.

What ever happened you don't draft for need. That's only when the draft needs fits your agenda?
