Now you making excuses for Calvin Johnson. Bad Quarterback and poor coaching?

Prisco's probably just trying to throw excuses to the Johnson supporters as well.....

He also should be sainted for putting up with catching passes from Reggie Ball for three years. That guy was awful. Can you imagine Johnson's numbers if he actually had a quarterback who could throw the damn ball?

Everybody has their own opinions. This is just my opinion. I feel that Sidney Rice is going to be a better NFL Wide Receiver than Calvin Johnson. Calvin Johnson going to have a tough time. Cause with elite conerbacks like Champ Bailey is going to be locking him down.

I seen clips on conerbacks playing Calvin Johnson in tight man-to-man coverage and playing Sidney Rice tight man-to-man coverage and it ain't even close.

Sidney Rice just dogs conerbacks in anytype of coverage. Certain coverage you could just shut down Calvin Johnson. Only thing you have to do with him is just be physical and stay on the inside of him, he can't do nothing.

You realize that his "career" was only 2 seasons in a pass happy Spurrier offense, don't you?

I don't know how pass happy it really was. They threw the 5th most in the SEC, and rushed the 6th most. It was a relatively balanced offense based on what I saw, they didn't go spread nearly as much as say Florida. Rice was really their only weapon imo.

Or look at this about Calvin Johnson's QB, Reggie Ball:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reggie_Ball

College football writer Pete Fiutak, contributor to the website Collegefootballnews.com, challenged readers to name a more ineffective four year college football starter than Ball

Call it an excuse or a reason. You can't make plays when they don't try by scheme to get you the ball or if your QB is incapable of throwing good passes. I saw Johnson make plenty of plays on a poor offensive team. He would have put up better numbers if he played for Spurrier and Rice would have put up worse numbers if he played for Gailey. Do you think that Ball was a good QB? Do you think Gailey is a good coach?

I think you can say South Carolina also didn't have great passing and they also seemed inexplicably to go away from Rice at times (fortunately for me & Arkansas).

Remember this from now on every time RCF offers his evaluation of anything else on this board.

He is the guy who said that Sidney Rice is going to be a better NFL WR than Calvin Johnson.

You the first person I know that blames his mis-spellings on me. You know you are hooked-on-phonics.

I have an excuse for mine.... It's because the lack of education I spell the way I do. Im just hood. It's called "Slang". You understand because you was in the same class that I was in.

I don't think neither one of us should be talking because we're no better than the next person. But you talking about me like an immature child that you are.

It'll be alright, you not the only kid that grew up without nobody paying you any attention.

Meachem is a monster. I see you like Paul Williams in the 4th Ranking. Not bad.

Rice had horrible QBs throwing him the ball. Does anyone know Syvelle Newton or Blake Mitchell? Didn't think so. USC had no other receiving threats, so teams would slide coverage his way. Yet he still managed to dominate the SEC.

My Top 10

1 Calvin Johnson
2 Ted Ginn
3 Dwayne Jarrett
4 Robert Meachem
5 Dwayne Bowe
6 Sidney Rice
7 Steve Smith
8 Anthony Gonzalez
9 Craig Davis
10 Paul Williams

Not only is Johnson the best WR in this class, but he is the best overall player. To say otherwise is just trying to draw attention to your list or flat out ignorance.

That's your opinion but It's not so much as drawing attention or as your say ignorence, it's just "Know how".

Know how to look at tapes and clips of these players and come up with an idea that Rice is better than Johnson.

I could say you are simply ******** for having Craig Davis in your top ten with no apparrent reason at all.
