So I guess that means you are not willing to make the wager?

I have no problem with people stating opinions. What I can't stand are people who are fanboys of particular players and run around this site hyping their favorite player and making stupid arguments about other players (e.g., that Ginn won't be fast) because they want their guy to look better.

That annoys the crap out of me.

"I like Sidney Rice, and I would take him at WR before these players" is a statement of preference that I would have let pass. But "Dude. You are wrong. Rice is will go 2nd. Rice is better than Bowe and Meachum. Ginn isn't that fast. blah blah blah" gets obnoxious.

UT fanboys do that crap all the time and it is annoying as hell.

If you want to be a fanboy/homer about players, than be so. But don't try to act like you are being anything but that and don't beat us over the head with your hype.

Just because I said Ginn isn't as fast as hes hyped to be, doesn't mean I'm belittling him in order to make Rice look better. I just stated an opinion, and you made an blind assumption. I'd much rather have Johnson and Ginn than Rice any day, but just because I have him in my sig doesn't mean I have ulterior motives in every post. Stop being so analytical and don't be 'that guy' it is annoying as hell.

Wow. RCF, you've said a lot of... uh, "interesting" things here on this website. But this one takes the cake.

Sidney Rice is the 6th (maybe 7th behind Anthony Gonzalez) WR in this draft. The fact you have him over CJ, who is the best prospect in years, is... mind-blowing.

The fact that people are actually believing that Rice is the 6th or 7th best receiver in this class is crazy.

Rice is a tremendous receiver and he is going to be a good player in the NFL.

After Johnson its a toss up as to who will be the best in the NFL. But as far as being a pure Wide Receiver Rice is fluid, has good hands, can seperate, runs good routes ect ect...

Hes got everything you want and if someone wants to say Rice is the 2nd best receiver I can easily buy that but to say hes #1 over Johnson is a little crazy.

Johnson is just physically superior.

That's your opinion but It's not so much as drawing attention or as your say ignorence, it's just "Know how".

Know how to look at tapes and clips of these players and come up with an idea that Rice is better than Johnson.

I don't quite understand what you're saying.

Are you saying that your "know how" tells you that Rice is better than Johnson based on the tapes and clips you've seen of both players?

And if so, how is it that scouts who likely pour over more tapes and clips than you do have Calvin Johnson ranked higher than Rice?

What about their "know how"?

I agree that some guys take things too personally. But you're going to have to back up a statement "Ginn isn't as fast as hes (sic) hyped to be" when Ted Ginn's speed is so obvious (based on his play) that anyone uttering such a statement comes across as a class A homer or idiot.

On what basis do you make such a statement about Ginn?

Rice will be taken late 2nd, early third. That's my prediction.

Thats an absolute steal for someone. Thats like Denver getting Portis in the middle of the 2nd round.

Rice was basically tripple teamed just like Johnson was in college and he would still find ways to produce.

Hes going to be a threat for somebody.

I dont think a lot of you guys ever saw him play and understand how good Rice really is.

You realize that his "career" was only 2 seasons in a pass happy Spurrier offense, don't you?

Excuse this, but I'm going to *******ize your post.

He played two years and had two great years. You can punish a man for playing in an offense that suits his strengths. There are no flaws in his game displayed by your declaration. All you post did was legitimize his college career.

I think what's going to hurt him is his 40 time at the combine. 4.53.

Plus, this is a deep receivers draft. Personally, I don't know very much about him aside from what I've read. I saw some South Carolina games last year but didn't focus too much on him.

I'm open to drafting a receiver in either the first or second (a change in my position from previous years). If Rice is as good as you say he is, then maybe he's there in the second round. But what he has going against him is the 40 time and the fact he came out early.

It seems this is generally the case, but juniors we think are going to go high have a way of sliding down in the draft. It always happens, and I have no reason to believe it won't happen again.

Besides, it would be good to have a go-to RICE on the Cowboys, if what you say is true. :D

I just remember guys posting wikipedia links saying that he ran a 4.06, and yes he has world class track speed but I just don't believe such numbers.

Ginn is all about raw talent and what he could be. If he goes to a team with a great teacher as a head coach he is going to have a successful career.

Ginn does have great speed, hes an explosive player, and when you put the ball in his hands things happen.

Ted Ginn Jr is very Raw but he is potentially someone that could be as good as Steve Smith.

I like Ted Ginn as a prospect but he is no where near finished developing.

forget the draft, what if it comes to show that Meachum can't play and Rice can? Because I watched both Tennessee and South Carolina play this year and Rice was clearly an NFL player and I hardly even noticed Meachum.

I just have one thing to say to all the doubters. We'll see if Rice and Johnson starting, who ends up the better Wide Receiver.

On my mock draft I have him going at the second pick, why?, because that's his projection (Top 3). I already know Rice isn't going at the top ten. But that could be a steal for the Cowboys if they use him well. Rice is from a pass-happy offense where you needed to know how to catch the ball alot.

That's like 5 things.
