I agree with no forcing picks but I don't think drafting a lineman or 2 is forcing picks. As for the 1st rd pick I agree it opens us up to all of different options including OL

Why would we want to draft a backup in the first round?

People were losing their minds with Carpenter last season, yet now they'd be okay with Justin Blalock who would most certainly be a backup for years and is a poor value to boot?

If an offensive lineman that graded higher than the 22nd pick fell to us I would consider it but I wouldn't take Blalock at #22... that's not good value.

McQ is the LT of the future, the OGs are locked up for at least 4 years, Gurode is locked for 5/6, Columbo is under contract for at least 2 more
