If Lovie smith is there he will be there.

I just can't see that. Lovie might get one more year in Tampa, but if they're anywhere close to as bad next year as they were this year? That whole coaching staff is gone and he'd be looking for a job again.

Tampa will be drafting Mariota. Theyre going to be decent next yr.

Where'd you see the thing about boot camp practice? Got any details?

I don't think JPP comes here. We won't have much $ after resigning our own guys.

I'd take Suh over JPP as an FA if we did have the $ though

they used their last allowable padded practice for the year to get the defense ready for this game.

I could go either way on JPP coming or not at this point. But Suh is going to cost too much, we have Crawford McClain and Brent at DTs and SUH has a decent shot at getting suspended by league for on field crap for as much money as he will cost. Dirty player.

Say what you want but I believe he's better than you give him credit for. I never see opposing QBs target him deep. He might have been out of position but that play was a huge spark in the game. Also he's the only player in the secondary who seems to have great hands catching the ball. I see you on his case a lot but I don't think you put in perspective of how young he is[23years] and how this is only his third year at safety in HIS LIFE. Only his second year pro at the position. Think about that. He's inexperienced at a position in a professional league yet he still is above average with more growth to his game.

The best way to study a safety is to watch the All 22 film and see how his range is and how he keeps recievers from getting behind him. I rarely see him getting beat deep and I've actually seen JJ make plays locked up in man 2 man coverage. JJ isn't perfect as id like him to read the play better and be more diciplined but things like that come with time when he starts to grasp the concept of the position and how opposing offenses attack.

The most exciting aspect of this team is their youth. Several major contributors are still early in development (even RoMac), and they all have moderate to large potential for improvement.
Wilcox is leading the pack, and the future looks bright.

And, yes, we got some breaks tonight.
It's about time.

Lets see...Suh for quite a bit of money or JPP for moderate with an attitude problem who hates the Cowboys. Give me the guy(Suh) who is young enough with a mean streak who the defense can build around. I know JPP is young too, but I can't stand him, no, I almost hate him.

Use that money for DeMarco and spend it on Suh and find a cheaper option at RB to use with Randle/Dunbar. Suh is/can be a leader for our defense and put some players around him.

We do not have one player on defense who commands respect or who can take on the leadership role(don't tell me Lee). We need that guy who teams gameplan around allowing others to play better.

Yea yea, this isn't Madden but it can be doable.

I'm really thinking that Melton and possibly Spencer are not in the fold for next season. I would like Spencer to show a bit more than at present, but he has at least made strides and Melton has shown up. Just not when all was on the line...

i dont think mcclain's game has changed much, i just think people are really underestimating justin durant's loss. him and durant had some good chemistry building before he got hurt. durant was cleaning up a lot of plays in the run game. the negative effect of his loss is obvious.

The first down passing was key. We mixed it up but don't use play action nearly enough.

I hate to use the word rust or perhaps it's the time away but he does make a couple of mental errors a game. I bring him back and suspect that an offseason of mini camps and training camp makes a difference. I'd much rather do that than try to draft his replacement. We have many holes to fill all ready.

I'd bring him back if i can get a reasonable deal, but if he chases the money I think it's a business decision. McClain is a quality MLB and has been playing it, but his play against the run far exceeds that against the pass, and you're starting to see each week a little more that if you stretch him to the sideline he can be a tick slow in reaction. He is also a little over aggressive on play action which leaves the seam open from time to time - I think he masks it a little though because he's one of the taller MLBs out there.

McClain is a very nice player, and I'd love to keep him, but I don't know how he will react when he gets paid, that so called rust - well, it's 14 games into the season. It should be off by now. At the very least, cleanup the repetitive mistakes.

I used to be a big Wilcox fan and I thought he had potential to be a good player for us. I no longer think that, but I do think he can be a serviceable safety in this league. Will he impact games? No, probably not. But he's a 2nd year player who isn't embarrassing himself. Low bar, but I'll take it with the relative lack of talent we have on the defense elsewhere. Or at least, I'm ready to see what he can do in year 3.

The Eagles secondary blows. Their run defense is legit.

Dallas should spread more often to get Dez in one-on-one match ups. Philly did the same bump-and-run coverage that killed then last year when Orton played them. I remember busted coverage last year similar to the ones I saw last night.

Their DC is an idiot.

I wasn't sold on him before the season because he's not a RGK but the more I watch Suh the more he absolutely dominates people. He has become the only free agent that I think we sell out for.

We're in a Romo window and I think the Cowboys will be Super Bowl contenders next season and Jerry has to do whatever it takes to get him in here.

Exactly... We are in a win now mode with Romo and Jerry knows it. Suh isn't just a beast, he brings a real nasty to the team. I'd do what it takes to get him over JPP, who seems to have dropped off after his back issues. Plus, I always prefer a guy that raises havoc in the interior. DE are flashy, but look how essential a guy like Wilfork has been to the Patriots.

Are you kidding me? IN Dallas; zone anything deep is basically on him. Thats the way this zone works. Same with Church but You hardly ever see Church chasing a deep pass because he doesnt allow the wr behind him. you dont need to have all 22 to know how this defense works. Its pretty simple the conerback play outside to inside and funnel everything inside. Thats why u see so many completions to the middle of the field under the safeties. Wilcox biggest problem is he gets baited because he's cheating instead of sticking to his zone and gets caught in nomans land. Same thing with Carter. Thats when big plays happens. Think you need to watch more all22 homie

I also think he's one of the reasons Carr is playing even worse. He probably thinks in the back of his head Wilcox is out of position.

Wilcox can hit and often gets pumped when he lays the wood, but he does it when the RB goes for seven or after a big catch. I just chuckle because of how he celebrates.

RO Mac I chalk a lot up to being out of football, poor coaching in Oakland, and I think they were more worried about his game shape than reinforcing fundamentals when he was signed.
