Lets see...Suh for quite a bit of money or JPP for moderate with an attitude problem who hates the Cowboys. Give me the guy(Suh) who is young enough with a mean streak who the defense can build around. I know JPP is young too, but I can't stand him, no, I almost hate him.

Use that money for DeMarco and spend it on Suh and find a cheaper option at RB to use with Randle/Dunbar. Suh is/can be a leader for our defense and put some players around him.

We do not have one player on defense who commands respect or who can take on the leadership role(don't tell me Lee). We need that guy who teams gameplan around allowing others to play better.

Yea yea, this isn't Madden but it can be doable.

I'll take Suh over anybody listed here, including if it means losing Murray.

Dez bryant had a monster game, but i have to say give alot of that credit to Romo with them perfectly placed balls. But he abuse fletcher tonight. That had to be the longest game of his career.

I know i mention this alot but it really gets to me. There are some of you in this forum who have to be some of the worst fans this team has. Its like some of you get more happy with Cowboy failure then theyre success. And thats a sad thing.

I remember late in the game Collinsworth made a remark about Dez's monster night and said something to the effect of Romo not throwing every ball perfectly to him but he caught them anyways. As far as throws to
dez, I don't remember a single one not being on the money. Am I wrong?

My take on some of the "fans" is that they're actually fans of other teams and just get a kick out of coming on here and getting under people's skin. I try not to pay attention to them, but it's hard sometimes.

There was one throw which was too high for Dez and got deflected high I think.

But he was targeted 7 times with 6 completions or something like that.

Thanks. When you said high throw, I immediately recalled that one. But still, out of the 6 he caught, I think every one of those was right on the money.

@LatinMind,

Good post. You brought up the point about Free not needing help and how a certain someone is wrong. Kudos, to you good sir for pointing that out. I'm not sure how they can continually sit there and tell us how Parnell needs more game reps to get better because of his inexperience. At some point you have to admit that your wrong about a player and move on.

I'd like to see how Rolando McClain responds to a full offseason and maybe surgery to clean up his knee since he's been battling that issue all year long. Maybe another one year prove it deal?

Either way, this defense really needs a serious talent infusion. I'd like to think that this year the Cowboys can go deep in the playoffs but I just don't see it with the way this defense folds at times in the game.

Great post

Collinsworth praised Romo and said while one can credit Dez, one should also credit Romo who made perfect passes. In that comment, he said some of his passes were off on the night, but nothing negative or a slight.

i dont think mcclain's game has changed much, i just think people are really underestimating justin durant's loss. him and durant had some good chemistry building before he got hurt. durant was cleaning up a lot of plays in the run game. the negative effect of his loss is obvious.

Going to be exciting at LB next year if Lee, Durant and Mcclain can all stay healthy.

OK, thanks. I was probably in a "victory fog" at that point. I didn't mean to say Collinsworth was critical of Romo at all, though, just that he made a comment about some of the throws to Dez being less than perfect, which I didn't remember them being. Some one set me straight on the high throw (that was the one incompletion).

Collinsworth, a lot of people don't like, but I actually enjoy. He doesn't seem to be a lop-sided commentator, favoring any particular team. From what I can gather, he seems to be a fan of Romo in general though.

I'm like you, Collinsworth doesn't bother me at all. The only thing I don't like about him is that he does the Sunday Night games which keep me up late the night before I have to go to work.:)

I wish they'd move it to 7:30 P.M. EST. I'm on the east coast, so that game ended at around midnight for me. Or freaking cut back on commercials or something (no chance in hell).

I was expecting another Dez Bryant is overrated and shouldn't be re-signed comment when I opened this thread.

Yea, I'm in the Central Zone and don't like it, I can only imagine you poor Eastern Zone guys on Monday/Tuesday morning.

I don't know how anyone can say that with a straight face. Especially since the guy opposite of him is pulling off one of the greatest houdini tricks I've ever seen.

Romo was on target all game
Look at the first TD to Dez
That was a money throw and the ball could not have been better placed

Not sure how you refer to the deep safety who wasn't covering Ertz as out of position. He's in deep patrol, then when the ball is thrown to a buy coming across the middle, he moves in from the opposite direction...the TE is running left to right, and the S is running right to left and forward to get in on the tackle. The TE dives and tips the ball which then goes in a different direction, and the S twists and adjusts to make a play.

Maybe you have seen a different view, but I'm not sure how a deep safety coming up on a short crossing route is out of position.

Indeed. As has been pointed out to me, Romo had one high throw to Dez, and that was his lone incompletion of the seven targets. The other six were right on the money. Some people thought the 3 yd TD to Dez was high, but that ball was thrown exactly where Romo and Dez wanted it.
