Forewarning my thoughts are a little on the negative side today. I saw alot of stuff that got on my nerves from players to coaches. So agree with them, hate, bash, ignore them its all the same.

I'm going to start with a topic that has gotten on my nerves more and more as the season has gone on. The lack of execution in the routes Dez runs when the ball isnt going to him. I should just say the lack of a route that Dez runs when the ball isnt going to him. The guy lazily gets off the snap and gingerly jogs a few yards down the field and the play is over. I see this over and over every week. And now he is yapping on the field while there are still plays going on which he can be involved in like that first INT by Romo. Sorry but Josh Norman made you his (you know what) all day. And in single coverage. This guy got his money and isnt playing the same. I wish this guy wouldve been traded. I half-heartedly expressed these thoughts in the offseason. Dallas couldve and wouldve gotten alot back in return. Guy has been back 5 weeks and has 18 rec for 232 yrds and 2 tds. Has only 1 game with over 50 yrds and almost have his yrds came in 1 game(PHI). The guy runs his mouth on the sidelines in the lockeroom and now on the field, it was tolerable when he was making DBs look foolish. Now its just annoying.

I think its time to just come to grips that Romo's body is breaking down. Hes taken the hits over his entire career and he just looks like a old battered player out there. Love the heart the guy has, but its time to bring in the guy who is going to run the show after he is gone. IM sure he will be starting in 2016, but for how long? Its clear Romo isnt in the weight room much, and im sure he isnt at VR working on his cardio much either because the guy looks a little sloppy without the pads. He's been a warrior but when ur body has taken the hits he has over his career and the injuries, it just seems like his body is giving out quick.

This defense again gave the offense a chance to blow Carolina out of the water. Even with Romo's INTs. Offense just didnt have anything to give in return.

I can see 5 starters not back next yr on defense for Dallas:
Hardy
McClain
Carr
Claiborne
Church
Maybe gone:
Hayden
Wilcox

I like Claiborne, but the guys body is just not there.

Officiating in the NFL is seriously screwed up. Not just with Dallas games, but in all NFL games. So many missed calls, and more bad calls.

I seriously cant wait for this season to just be over. I hope some house cleaning is done. JG i know hows a contract but the guy is just not a good HC. The team doesnt respond to him, and his clapping does nothing for this team. He tried Jerry has given him his shot. Its just time to cut the cord. Bring in a HC who is going to demand accountability from players. Dont just talk about it. Its not even that JG did a bad job this yr, he was doomed the minute Romo went down. But i think this teams needs something else. I dont think it will happen, if anything i can see new coordinators but i dont know about even that.

This season has just been a disappointment on so many levels. Let it end.

Can't disagree with any of these thoughts and even if I could I have no fight for this team left in me. This season is a nightmare that just gets worse. Can't end soon enough.

Garrett has had 5+ years to remake this team in his image and it ain't a pretty picture.

I agree OP but you can add the O line in there as well. I get Carolina is a top tier defense but the O line is allgedly top tier as well. I'm starting to think they aren't all some people made them out to be.

Miami had the 2nd worst rush defense in the league so I wasn't surprised how well we did but Romo took waaaaay too many hits in that game. They did a horrible job at protecting him. After seeing how often he was hit, the writing was on the wall for what would happen yesterday.

Also can't disagree with any of your points.

IMO, the defense can win a championship if they upgrade the NT position -- sorry but I am tired of watching Golden Cock get buried or pushed back five yards by one-on-one blocking -- and add at least one premier cover safety.

The real challenge, though, is what will Dallas do in the off-season to fix an offense that underperforms.

Glad somebody said it about Dez. I'm sure somebody will be in here in a minute to tell us "But he's hurt!" And maybe that's true.

But did his foot injury cause him to drop two critical passes against TB? Is his foot injury causing him to dog it and give up on plays?

I love Dez but have been massively disappointed by what I've seen the past few weeks. No way to sugar coat it.

We have to do something to get more of a pass rush. We saw a good pass rush yesterday and it sure as hell wasn't us.

We must have been watching two different games; the rush I saw was good overall but the coverage was awful. The term "coverage sack" is hardly applicable with the Cowboys defense; the secondary can't stay with their assignments long enough.

Can you please add Heath to that list, Watching him diagnose plays and break the wrong way again yesterday is enough already

I thought the D, considering the positions they were put in, played fairly well. The reason for this season's lack of success is the continued ineptitude of our offense. This offensive line has been exposed and I would say that is the biggest disappointment this entire season for me. They have played nowhere near the level I think we all expected and are capable of. I don;t care what it costs, get Callihan back in here - he had these guys rolling. They have played really poor all season - even Tyron and I thought he was all-world. I will add though that there is no imagination or attempt to set up plays like a successful offense does. If you do not have a solid running game, which we do not, you need to even get more imaginative to try and gain an edge. Not throw a bubble screen to Escobar when everyone on the field knew the play. That is a snap shot of this offense all year. Inept.

Free can't even go a game without jumping offsides - this is something you learn playing pee wee football. Is he daft or what?

As far as Dez and the lackadaisical route running, I also notice when it's a run play he leaves the huddle very early a lot of times, you just know it's going to be a run

Agree with everything you said, this organzation needs a reboot from the top down, its gotten very stale.

Also have noticed on some plays Dez stands outside the huddle for a quick moment and at least to me appears to know he's not in the play so isn't as engaged.

See my post on the same point. Thanks for that insight, will watch for it in upcoming games. Yes, I will still watch to see how Cassel plays as a 2 or 3 option, and how many of the younger guys - Turbin, Jones, get to show their capabilities. Also will keep an eye on McClain / Hardy to see if they
are worth keeping going forward.

the next games should be about the future of the cowboys and their coaching staff and players players and coaches that need to stay and ones that need to go. I am hoping Jason is fired I know he wont be but I can hope because if he is still here next year it will be repeat of this year. he is DUD.

Jason will get a pass because of Romo. He shouldn't but he will.

Didn't have Dez for a good chunk of the season as well, so that could also be added on, as to why he'll get a pass for this season.
