But again, the issue isn't number of runs, it's when they run. Those first two one-yard runs were on first down, against loaded fronts. You can't do that because it puts you behind the sticks, and then you have to throw more.
Balance in today's NFL means calling plays that put your offense in advantageous situations, number of runs vs. passes is irrelevant. With the way that teams play against the Cowboys, they should be throwing the ball about 75% of the time.
