Wishful thinking, but everyone knows the fallout is under way and will progress this off season with bill belichick and the patriots. I say belichick retires as he really has nothing left to prove. But that said, Jerry in his documentary claimed he's pay anything, up to everything he owns for another SB win. So let him offer belichick 12 million per year and bring him in to change this organization. Set your son aside and let Bill be the GM, or bring in his own GM. Do that and this team participates in another SB within three years max.

Agree but no way in h--- old jerrah kicks his son to the curve. He would come closer to stroking the check than doing that.

Personally I rather let Kris Richards take over. Let him get the coordinators he wants, become an elite defense and running team.
Nope.

To win in the NFL today, you need a dynamic passing game to go along with a good defense and a acceptable running game.

3 yards and a cloud of dust went away with Chick Knox and Emmitt Smith.

Jason Garrett and tried to re-create the 1990's Cowboys. And you now see the results. It doesn't work.

Sean Payton would be fine, but I'm not sure his style would fit our QB...then again, there's uncertainty around Dak, isn't there? As for the next McVay, that's where I was sort of thinking the OC for the Chiefs. He's a WCO chap that did call a good game last week, but then, it was week 1. I'd have liked Nagy (Bears HC) if we had sacked JG last year. But, as it is, we're not getting that chap. I nearly did have the current Chiefs OC on here, but I decided not to. Another chap that I wanted last year and still do is Jim Schwartz. Again, nearly added him to this list.

If Garrett is fired Dak won't be our QB, we owe him nothing.

Patterson doesn’t even review offensive schemes on his team now. He’s not the one to get the next QB. David Shaw would do nothing but run straight ahead. Not much creativity.

IF a change is made I fully expect the first call to be to Lincoln Riley. Jerry’s Super Bowls were with college coaches. He’ll go back to the Norman well.

Others I would support:

Kris Richard (probably Jerry’s 2nd choice)
Dan Campbell
Mark Helfrich (bears offense going to be much better this year and he was a successful coach at Oregon. Chips system would work well with this personnel.)
Saban (although this is a 0.0000001% chance he’d want it)
Josh McDaniels (this is probably a 2% chance. I think Belichick told him in 2 years he’ll be HC up there)

This. I don't understand why Shaw's name keep coming up, it's not like he's the one that revived Stanford, Harbaugh did.

Personally my list would be:
1) Sean Payton
2) Nick Saban
3) Jim Schwartz
4) Jim Harbaugh
5) Kris Richard
6) Lincoln Riley
And the new HC job is to manage coaches and be in total charge of motivation, discipline, responsibility and accountability from all coaches, players, and down the line. He doesn't need to know football as much as he needs to know how to get people to go above and beyond and be able to make people accountable. Football knowledge is great, but not enough to make a great team.

The New OC would have to understand Bill Walsh WCO, Air Coryell, Wildcat, Spread, Air Raid, Wishbone, Wing T and then design the offense to utilize the strengths of the players that are currently on the Dallas offense. Everyone of these offenses has been utilized to win, but knowing which will work best with the players Dallas currently has is the big question for an innovative young offensive guy like Lincoln Riley or maybe Kliff Kingsbury or another college offensive minded coach.

OC and DC need to be Football knowledge SME's, and excellent teachers. IMO Let the HC pick the Coordinators and the Coordinators pick their staff, and then hold them each accountable.

I agree with you for the most part. The key is, if you noticed, most of the coaches I've gone with are either from the Bill Walsh tree or are coaches connected to those coaches. The reason is because I think that a proper WCO with the ability to let the QB run to freeze defences would be the most effective style of coach for what we have on our team. I think our offence (not sure with/without Dak, but that can be determined by the coach) would thrive under that style. I think the problem that Garrett has is that he's running an offence that doesn't fit the style of this offence, at least not for 2018.

Yea I think Garrett’s biggest problem is he thinks Dak is better than he actually is. That’s just me.

I know Daks a good dude and all that stuff but he just doesn’t do anything for me. Been awhile since he’s done anything for their offense too. I really think getting a good qb would solve a lot more problems than firing everybody besides the qb every year and keeping dak

I would love to have Belichick here, but I just don't see it.

I think that the problem with Garrett is that he's trying to force Dak to be something he's not. He's not a pocket passer. He's a move around the pocket chap.

I agree to an extent, but I think a coach like Jim Schwartz might just be the exception when it comes to a defencive-minded HC, especially if we give him the right to choose his OC. He'd do very well with our defence, and might just be what this team needs.

Well since he hasn’t proven he can pass at all, there are 8-9 guys around the line so I’m not sure how you get him moving around in that situation.

The good news he has every week to prove he can pass. The bad news is he’s had every week since week 1 last year to prove he can pass.

Lincoln Riley

Widely regarded as the best offensive mind in college football. Young. Don’t want any old retreads.

Works for me, but wouldn't it be great if we could get Jim Schwartz as the HC and Riley as our OC?

I agree to an extent. His passing has been dreadful of late. However, maybe it's more to do with not much being open because he doesn't run.

Ive posted this before but if Jerry makes a change at seasons end.....will he return to the template that won him 3 Super Bowls....a college coach with no Nfl experience who won a national title.

candidates from that:
Bob Stoops
Urban Meyer
Dabo Sweeny

People overrating Kris Richards just like they were Sanjay Lal because they saw a couple of clips of him yelling like a bauce on the sideline.
