Would love to grab J. McDaniels, but with the Pats paying him 4mn a season to be OC, think he'd want a Gruden-like contract.

I dunno. I saw that someone stated that he's basically the offencive-version of Wade Phillips, and I do agree with that. He's a brilliant OC, but he wasn't so brilliant as a HC. If Jerry's looking to make a splash for his final HC pick, I'm not quite sure that would be his pick.

David Shaw would be my pick, especially if he manages to bring in McDaniels as an OC and promote Richard to DC. That would be BRILLIANT for us.
Don't think we have a chance to get McDaniels out of NE without bumping him to HC.

He'd prob want 7mn or so to stay at OC, even then it looks like NE is grooming him to be their next HC

Oh, that's a good idea. He does do a good job. I would like Payton, but not sure Jerry would.
Jerry doesn't matter imho.
Stephen and McClay likely have to feel they can work as part of 3 man team with Payton.
Issue see is compensation would have to be high.

LLLOOLLL, that last part. I could see his stare on the sideline now as a player would be coming off.
I don't think our team can operate without our head clapper.

Yes, good point. If the Saints decide to part ways with him, he'd certainly be a massive splash for the FO.

LLLOOLLL, loved it. Those are my types of coaches.

Well, considering our penalty issues last game, we certainly could use a coach that's not afraid to go mental. Blimey! That was a big part of the problem! We move the ball and out comes the flag. And what does Garrett do?

Yeah, brilliant! Absolutely brilliant coaching there. Couldn't have reacted better myself.

Why would a HC of a successful program leave for the NFL? Think they haven't considered Saban, Spurrier and Petrino? Any HC gets his program right, he's set and the security and hours are a hell of a lot better than in the NFL. He has more players, better chance for depth and more control over the behavior of the players. Players do not run college teams.

You think any NFL HC is going to sit a starter unless he's forced to by the league? Coaching is not the most secure career but in the NFL, the turnover rate is 20-25% annually for HC's.

Wishful thinking, but everyone knows the fallout is under way and will progress this off season with bill belichick and the patriots. I say belichick retires as he really has nothing left to prove. But that said, Jerry in his documentary claimed he's pay anything, up to everything he owns for another SB win. So let him offer belichick 12 million per year and bring him in to change this organization. Set your son aside and let Bill be the GM, or bring in his own GM. Do that and this team participates in another SB within three years max.
