Some of the posters here are just clueless.

Nothing wrong whatsoever with what Roy did.
And those saying he should stop complaining and be a leader... that's exactly what he was doing. Being a leader.

You don't have to be a company man to be a leader.

I agree. Let's all think outside the box. Roy just lit a fire under the young corners by indirectly displaying a lack of confidence in them directly to the media. We'll be alright. The sky is definitely not falling...

Roy's laughing at all of this right now.

Or RW doesn't actually think much of our young DBs. Just like Phillips has said the last few weeks.;)

LINK......please....:laugh2:

Roy's comments don't surprise me...he's usually concerned with the pressure he'll be under to actually cover behind a CB from time to time. He's a great SS at times, but I'm sort of over him and his attitude, though I realize that's totally just a personal thing.

But, of course, Skip Bayless and the rest of their pathetic ESPN crew will think otherwise.:bang2:

Why does anyone believe a word of this article? It's as if it's a slow news day and this writer has nothing better to do.

ROFL, probably because of the little quote marks and the Roy Williams said part.....

that's right. it's reverse psychology. he's playing mind games with reeves and jones to get them mentally ready. he has them doing brain push ups.

Now That could be a good thing....;)

I like the idea of Glenn imparting wisdom and knowledge of the game etc, but with Hamlin instead of Watkins at FS, and Reeves having been around for three years now, I don't think the secondary is as much in need of an assistant-coach-player as they were last year.

I haven't had a drink all day, I could swear that was RW in that video, in the Cowboys locker room, uttering those exact words.

Roy Williams = clown ...team clown....team fool....Mr. Folly ....Mr. Can't cover anyone ....
I told you about this guy - he's the WORST player we've ever paid big money too...worse than Dat Dude...

(another stupid cowboy fan)

Coaches coach and players play.

Roy needs to step up both on the field and in the locker room this year. Today would have been a good day instead he pulled the Greg Ellis card.

Why, did he ask for a bigger contract coming off a major injury? Sulk, insinuate, or stomp his feet til Jerry met with him. to soothe him?

Or better yet, go to his favorite scribe to write yet another puff piece about him?

Don't get me wrong - i am a big GE supporter, but Williams is nothing like Ellis.

In fact, Roy is the antithisis of Greg media -wise. Ellis cleverly plays tools like JJT. Roy makes himself obnoxious and calls the mediots out. Greg smoothly gets the media to make and even over-state his case. (good for him!) While brash, 'dumb' Roy just speaks his mnd.

I think what you see with Williams is what you get - not the most polished, but a straight-up hitter in every way. No guile, no style. Just from the gut.

What was he supposed to say? or maybe what would you have preferred he say? And how does it relate to Greg Ellis? Cuz after reading the quotes and looking at the vid, he basically says he's gonna miss his friend.

Maybe Roy honestly doesn't see it that way. :)

Maybe that's the wrong message for Roy to send to the new 3rd CB
