Picks are worth a hell of a lot more than money is.

I think criticism of Roy really is not about what he said, but more about the player in general.

Look, a team doesnt give up a 1st and 3rd round picks plus a $45 million dollar contract unless the player is probowl caliber. Roy so far has not played up to the level that was expected of him and considering how Braylon Edwards was ripping it up last night with his new team, alot of fans are pissed right now. They are thinking, "if Edwards can rip it up his first game with his new team, why cant Roy rip it up in season 2"???

To me He seemed to come off like Austins great game was not that big of a deal. He made it seem like anybody with two hands and two legs could of put up big numbers because the Defense sucked that much.

Give me a break...He's getting annoying. Take the dorky glasses off and run better routes and get better sepration. Then maybe people will consider your *** a true number 1.

Then why couldn't he just say something positive about Austin's performance? Why demean it or give the impression that you're demeaning it by pointoing to the Chiefs D and your prediction with Gourode?

He was asked the same question twice, in essence, does Austin's performance open things up for the offense. Was that a hard question? Couldn't he just say that having another weapon that the D has to key on helps everyone on O?

But more telling was the question RW was asked regarding whether Austin's performance elevates Austin in the "pecking order," or something to that effect and he came out with the "consistency" line. That was a veiled shot at Austin and I think it's the height of irony that RW uses that word since he's been everything but.

I began replying with my perspective on how Williams responded to the Dallas media. Then I decided to stop and re-listen to his comments once again, even to the degree that I excerpted his comments from the rest of the locker room conversation:

Quite frankly, I believe he addressed each question appropriately and soundly. If I were in his shoes, I could only hope to have answered the Dallas media as well as he did. His commentary is my answer.​
