We all know (or should know) that Dallas cannot "do whatever they want in free agency".
There will be no Greg Hardy,
That being affirmed, I am fairly certain the Cowboys will sign some cheap players, a couple at least.
If they do not dump all their money at Hatcher, they will have to sign some bodies and also make it so they do not have glaring holes entering the draft.
Rotoworld had an article that named Falcons DT Corey Peters as a fit.

Unfortunate thing for him is that he tore his Achilles in the final game of the season. I would as soon not bother.
The names I see that might be worth it and cheap enough are:
Bills DL Alex Carrington - has position flexibility. Does have injury issues and played in only a few games last season.
Colts ILB Pat Angerer - might be want a better chance to start elsewhere, but he is a solid middle linebacker that the Colts are not bringing back. With Lee's injury concerns, we have to have a good backup.
Bucs OLB Dekota Watson - flip flopped between OLB and end last year after losing his starting job.
Bears CB Kelvin Hayden - very experienced in the system having played in it in both Indianapolis and Chicago
There are some others I am discounting (the Bears two defensive linemen for example) mainly due to what I think will be will be an active market that we will not be able to be players in.
Curious to see what the opinions are on the realistic options are out there.
