Tillman has said that he has no interest in playing safety.
Until he's offered more to be a 33 year old safety as opposed to a 33 year old corner.

Yes, sometime reality hits people in the face.Until he's offered more to be a 33 year old safety as opposed to a 33 year old corner.

He will probably get more than I would want them to pay him anyway. I just like the idea of a Coordinator bringing in some of his guys similar to how Parcells brought in many of his past players.

The cornerback told "The McNeil and Spiegel Show" on WSCR-AM that he doesn't know if he will return to Chicago but is certain he won't change positions. "I don't want to play safety anywhere," Tillman said Wednesday morning.
Coming off an injury-plagued season, the 33-year-old soon-to-be free agent believes he will be on an NFL squad in 2014.
"My gut is I will be on an NFL team next year," Tillman said. "Everyone knows how the process works. It's a business. If I'm here, sweet. If I'm not, that's business ... There's no hard feelings. I love Chicago. Chicago's been nothing but great -- great owners, great organization, great teammates."

We all know (or should know) that Dallas cannot "do whatever they want in free agency".
There will be no Greg Hardy,
That being affirmed, I am fairly certain the Cowboys will sign some cheap players, a couple at least.
If they do not dump all their money at Hatcher, they will have to sign some bodies and also make it so they do not have glaring holes entering the draft.
Rotoworld had an article that named Falcons DT Corey Peters as a fit.

Unfortunate thing for him is that he tore his Achilles in the final game of the season. I would as soon not bother.
The names I see that might be worth it and cheap enough are:
Bills DL Alex Carrington - has position flexibility. Does have injury issues and played in only a few games last season.
Colts ILB Pat Angerer - might be want a better chance to start elsewhere, but he is a solid middle linebacker that the Colts are not bringing back. With Lee's injury concerns, we have to have a good backup.
Bucs OLB Dekota Watson - flip flopped between OLB and end last year after losing his starting job.
Bears CB Kelvin Hayden - very experienced in the system having played in it in both Indianapolis and Chicago
There are some others I am discounting (the Bears two defensive linemen for example) mainly due to what I think will be will be an active market that we will not be able to be players in.
Curious to see what the opinions are on the realistic options are out there.
The 2 positions I want to address in FA are DT and FS
At DT I would look at Clinton McDonald and Tyson Jackson
FS: Chris Clemons, Chris Gamble, Louis Delmas
I want Linval Joseph.
You guys are aware the thread heading is "LOW-cost FA's", right?
