Alright, quick exercise; name your starting three cornerbacks (LCB, RCB and slot).

Here's mine:
Awuzie
B. Jones
Lewis (slot)

Admittedly, mine are reliant on two beliefs: 1) Byron Jones can be developed into a reliable corner by Richard; and 2) J. Lewis is tailor-made to take over the slot duties from Scandrick.

What are your starting three?

Jones, Awuzie, Lewis, Brown...cant get much better than that

Draft Derwin and sign Earl Thomas and welcome to the Superbowl

Lewis (outside)
Awuzie (outside)
Brown (slot)

I know everyone got tired of seeing brown get torched or "handsy" but when he got demoted then thrown back into the slot I think he cleaned up well and maximized his short area quickness

Jones will play alot as we all know nickel is the new base defense now a days

^THIS

Draft/Sign a quality interior DL and LB then I'll like our defense going into next season

This is where getting Richard at coach will really help.
I fully expect to see Jones at RC
Aussie at LC
Lewis in the slot
I hope Brown can go back to the 2016 player he was, and I am intrigued to see if White can make it off the PS to become a depth player.

Also, hoping to hear that our FS, Xavier Woods has spent his off-season putting on a few more pounds of muscle - think he will have a bigger role this year, with Jones back to Corner, But we will need to bulk up the safety position in the draft. Just depends on free or strong....

Exactly yours. If Jones is better in the slot or manning up TEs, then I am comfortable with Lewis playing outside. Ideally he's the slot though.

until Dallas fixes the glaring need at lb
i would get the best talent on the field so that means Lee + whoever wins the mike job
and run a nickel more with
Heath deep middle
Lewis slot
Chido and Byron outside
Woods underneath

prefer to exchange Heath with insert name __________ elite safety

Awuzie and Lewis with Jones coming in for Nickle and dime but Lewis becomes the slot.

Awuzie and Lewis are the future at CB for this team if they can even become good starting CB's. I believe they have that kind of potential. Not ready to say either has shown they can be shut down guys. Not enough tape.

Byron Jones is in his last year here. And in my book, if you cant even play safety, you cant play corner. But I would give him a shot like everybody else. The only way I start Jones at corner is if its clear he is better than the other two guys. I dont want to stunt growth.

Im not sure we even have 3 good corners on this team. So whomever wins out between Jones and Thomas I would guess.

I cant take anyone wanting Jones to start over Lewis, seriously...

Coming out of college Lewis was said to be the best slot CB in the draft. Putting Jones on the outside is not starting Jones over Lewis. Simply putting players at their best positions to succeed.

And the way we use CBs, Lewis would be on the field a lot. Marinelli seems to cycle through CBs throughout the game.

This would be prior to the draft and free agency. CBs that I can see making the roster = Chidobe Awuzie, Jourdan Lewis, Byron Jones, Anthony Brown, Duke Thomas. Duke is my dark horse based on how he looked prior to the injury last year. Starters would be Awuzie, Lewis, and Jones. Marquez White back to the practice squad.
