I hope they give him 11 million and a life time supply of nerve pills. Maybe even get him the qb guru or qb coach he needs. I support him even though he sucks.

I already played the game, I listed every single team in the league and mentioned if they might be interested in Dak, IMO, of course.

And it is EASY to point to QBs that are paid far more with less success as the exact reason to not over pay an avg qb. Just because others do it doesnt mean we should over pay to be avg. The Commanders were smart IMO, we should learn from them.

You are correct in your assessment, but why should Dak be the poster boy for all that is wrong with the NFL?

If they didn't believe Dak was their guy for the next 5 years, they would have never gave up next years first for a WR.

By the way, I think Dak is a poor to marginal QB and doesn't deserve a substantial contract but he will get one anyway.

What leverage would Dak Prescott have? Who the hell but the Cowboys is going to sign him to a significant long term deal? They will be negotiating against themselves. There is no market. That front office is the only one who believes he can play.

Does anyone know of any free agents upcoming in 19 that are Qbs?

This would be a great opportunity for Dak to prove he's a leader, and take the low priced contract that would help the team surround him with the talent he needs around him.

And the first money to be spent is a committee of 17 Qb coaches to attend to every deficiency. I would trot out at least 5 of them after every game to address the Press and take full responsibility for the bad performances. Several of the others can be body doubles for some of the many Commercials being done by Dakota as well.

What you appear to be "just saying" is that if someone else grossly overpaid for a QB, then we should as well.

What kind of sense does that make?
The market is set. Dak is a better QB than Sam and 3 years in always available. QBs are getting paid and so will Dak.

Can they put any contingencies in the contract that are performance-based (i.e., throwing over 200 yards a game, better pocket awareness, not missing open guys)?

Not to mention, guaranteed money. How much should that be? Just look at Minny with Cousins. 84 million dollars?!? They should have kept Sam. I hope JJ plays this smart. Aye!

For all that, Dak can live off of his endorsement deal money. lol

I can't disagree with you. The market is set. If there's one thing players know, it's market value.
