Slow feet. Just not quick enough for OLT. He got exposed big time last night.

Now don't get me wrong, I like him and think he's going to be a good player, just not a left tackle type. Not his fault, doesn't have the skillset. He got beat very badly last night.

He’s a 7th round rookie. Hard for me to say he got exposed he’s just what he is. The replacing Guyton garbage hopefully is seized.

ONLY good news is I don't have to read the following three threads anymore:
  • Trade CeeDee, Re-Sign Pickens
  • Replace Guyton with Nate.
  • Jerry Jones is GM of the Year.
All posters who supported these topics are now on probational Zoner status. :muttley:

I already see the new one coming that is going to blow minds.

Half the fans were "don't let the door hit you on the way out" with Micah Parsons and his contract demands, but these same fans will support "I only run routes when I want to" GP and scream bloody murder if the contract negotiations fall through.

Is Revel getting this same treatment? He got beat just as bad as Thomas, but I don't see people declaring he can't play and never will.

As he shouldn't. Revel is a very young player going through the fire as a rookie. But so is Thomas.
Don't worry, we'll get there. Long list of things to be angry at. Someone will get it eventually. ;)

Offensive coordinators got enough film on him and know how to break him down now.
Should have been expected.
Last night showed why they immediately tried to convert him to guard in training camp last year.
He projects to guard in this league!

Detroit did manhandle us in many areas, but I also think they were the first team to figure out our new defense after the trade and injury returns.

By the end, they were plowing through every position, but started with them seeming to focus on our linebackers. 'Ok, you got your new 5-man front and DTs, I'll try this instead.'

Or is it that he had to go play after play after play against one of the best pass rushers in the league?

Do people really think Guyton wouldn't give up multiple sacks and pressures going 20 or 30 obvious passing snaps against Hutchinson? We were so far behind, they didn't have to worry about the run at all.

Revel came out of the game healthy. That's several in a row now. I think if he can remain in games, getting valuable experience, he could develop into a stud next year. This year was always going to be one of flux. I knew it. If we can win while making the changes Shotty is doing, then great. I'm willing to wait no matter. I am seeing good things.

Cant argue. I bet his PFF grades will be in the 30s. I do think he has a claim to RT or swing tackle though. Definitely keep him.

Yeah all got debunked and only after one game lol a silver lining in it all lol.

Both need time, like any player.
Exactly.

Thomas is a 7th round project LT who has little to no starting experience.
The other 1st round LT had a full season of starts and he seems to be either always injured or false starting but supposedly is on this really slow incremental improvement as a project LT himself.

Give both of em the same grading curve and not much separates the 2.
