Nate Thomas got exposed

Slow feet. Just not quick enough for OLT. He got exposed big time last night.

Now don't get me wrong, I like him and think he's going to be a good player, just not a left tackle type. Not his fault, doesn't have the skillset. He got beat very badly last night.
Thomas is a solid player. Great backup for the offensive line going forward. Last night was a big boy football game and he was far from the worst player we had out there.

He’s a jag. He was exposed the first time he stepped on the field. Not an nfl player.

Reminds me of the fat sloppy OT we had from Florida St years ago. Or the fat Italian Purcells trotted out there.

Cant argue. I bet his PFF grades will be in the 30s. I do think he has a claim to RT or swing tackle though. Definitely keep him.
you do remember that Swing Tackle means he should be able to back up BOTH tackle positions and he clearly cannot play LT

Or is it that he had to go play after play after play against one of the best pass rushers in the league?

Do people really think Guyton wouldn't give up multiple sacks and pressures going 20 or 30 obvious passing snaps against Hutchinson? We were so far behind, they didn't have to worry about the run at all.
Yeah,
this Guyton love affair is funny to me.
Between the 2 it's like settling for the tallest midget in the room syndrome.

The Cowboys need a far better LT than BOTH of what these guys are.

I really don't have a problem with Nate because he's a young and inexperienced OT going against Hutchinson...I mean c'mon. I think Thomas has done a good job filling in. Honestly, I figured Thimas would've been best at OG because of his foot quickness.

Felt bad for Thomas. I didn't pay attention, but did Schotty attempt to give him help guarding Hutchingson?? It started reminding me of that chaz green debacle where Garrett left him out to dry!!

They should have helped him is pass pro.

Between that and the field goals Schotty pulled a Garret at the worst ***** time.

Chazzy Green lol oh those were the days. The human turnstile.

Exactly.

Thomas is a 7th round project LT who has little to no starting experience.
The other 1st round LT had a full season of starts and he seems to be either always injured or false starting but supposedly is on this really slow incremental improvement as a project LT himself.

Give both of em the same grading curve and not much separates the 2.
He's not a LT type. Project OL type, yes. He doesn't have the skillset for OLT.

Disagree. There's a ton that separates them, namely physical skillset.

He needs to play between two better players, so guys can't just swim or spin around him.

Yes, we think he wouldn't have. Skillset.

Is Revel getting this same treatment? He got beat just as bad as Thomas, but I don't see people declaring he can't play and never will.

As they shouldn't. Revel is a very young player going through the fire as a rookie. But so is Thomas.
Revel has a starting quality #1 CB skillset. Completely different scenario.

Revel isn't gonna get our QB killed.
