Teams up 3-0 are like 112-0 so yea the Rockets just have to play it out.

The Rox have to keep DH and Smith from having mental meltdowns. If they do that they will win the series in 5 then rest up and have a very good shot of beating whomever comes next. While the Spurs and Clips are both very good teams, they will likely be beaten up and tired and be playing on the road. --I suspect it will be the Clips in 7 winning with the newly regained home court.

Two home games for a rested Rockets is a pretty big advantage versus comparable teams.

GS/MEM may be the most intriguing series. So much "opposite forces colliding"!

Yea, but the Rockets will lose to SA in six games or less. We just can't beat the Spurs for some reason.....maybe mental.

Houston will still win this series and going in, I said that Dallas was the only team that they could beat. They will lose in the 2nd round no matter who they play.

Probably. Both the Spurs and the Clips are bad matchups from a Hou POV. But if we can send Cuban's team on vacation the season will have been a success.

After watching games during the weekend, I have to say that the Warriors and Memphis will be interesting because the Warriors will have to change their lineup to matchup with Memphis' frontcourt.

On the east, I think that the Wizards will make it to the ECF if they play Atlanta. The Hawks once again is struggling to contain big men and I don't see them containing Gortat or Nene.

I think you seriously underestimate how wiped out those two teams will be.
I give either about a 5% chance of winning the title.

Sometimes it is luck of the draw in tourneys and this NBA playoffs is no different.

How fast the Rockets beat the Mavs may well be the determining factor.
Getting done in 5 would be huge as you know the Clips/Spurs are going at least 6 and very likely 7.
If the Rox can get game 5 with some rest for Harden/DH that would be big and probable make them the actual 2 seed in terms of chances in the West.

If MEM beats GSW, HOU with a win in 5 may well become the favorites in the West.

Washington vs Chicago in the ECF.

CLE is still the favorite easily.
Love will miss a couple weeks which makes it tougher but they have more than anyone in he east save Chicago and odds are fair Love plays more minutes than Rose 3 weeks from now.

The Bucks....
This time it wasn't turnovers that killed the Bulls, it was poor outside shooting.... Bucks are long... they make every shot, and every pass difficult....
I hope this series goes seven, it's been very entertaining so far. The amount of unforced errors the Bulls have per game is pretty high. I can't see them beating any of the elite teams playing like they have....

Bucks Bulls
BK Hawks
extended series.... more basketball!!!

Dwill looking like Dwill.... finally

I wonder if DWill ends up in Dallas.

I do believe he'd like to live in Texas long term as his family (both sides) are here.
And you'd need someone with big contracts to ship out for DWill.
Dallas has a huge hole at PG, want a guy who can hit 3s and could resign and ship Rondo plus other pieces to make the money work.

Few teams would touch him but the Mavs might.
Almost need a desperate team and I think Dallas qualifies.

It will be another interesting off-season.

good point, i could see this happening...
and him being a part of something, rather holding all of the pressure is good for him..
good thing dallas unlocked aminu before free agency (he will opt out).... they would be smart to keep him... if you don't have an elite wing, at least be able to guard them...(no disrespect to monta, who is an all star talent.)

i study this stuff pretty heavily but i can not even pretend to guess all the permutations for dallas this off-season.
i believe rondo will be traded as opposed to just signing elsewhere because i believe whatever team gets him needs to add players first.
rondo is not a guy you want on a mediocre team.
but his east coast success may lend brooklyn who is also desperate to dump a pg to pay him 10m a year for 3 or 4 seasons.
And if so dallas could swap that and filler (Felton plus something) for DWill and a round 2 pick.

i think aminu is the number 1 resign target, even ahead of monta but monta follows closely behind.

lamarcus aldridge is the wild card. he loves dallas and has told a number of folks he'd come here IF he left portland.
he is the dirk replacement that makes the most sense. dirk becomes the back up 4/5 and a big part of your bench scoring or he starts at center and the defense has to be built up....

order you do things really matter.

dallas has to figure out what to do with all the guys they have cap holds on quickly.
and have to figure out aldridge true intentions before that.
they can make trades at the end once the cap money has been spent and over the cap spend on guys who they have rights for but no high cap holds last of all.

yeh... as a bk cat... rondo won't be here.... i think bk is starting to think forward after selling off all of their salary cap, and draft picks.....(especially not with felton, who is basically banned from ny after the gun situation). Can't have two teams that don't sell playoff seats in ny, that would defeat the purpose. Don't be surprised to see bk sell off Lopez, Jonson, & Dwill, as they tried this year... but it will be for much younger pieces..... I wouldn't be surprised to see them all come back though.
dwill is not hated by the team, coach, or borough, so him being in bk next year isn't out of the question, but i agree with you, he wants to be in texas..

What part of Brooklyn? I have family there close to Prospect Park. They took my daughter(who goes to the same HS as Deron and his wife) to see Deron and the Nets the night he set the record for 3 pointers.

Texas would be good for Deron because he could buy a lot of land and practice his game in peace with his family around. No need to fight through Manhattan traffic.
He could of course afford to keep an apartment int he City for any visiting he desired.
His mom still runs his AAU team, Deron Williams Elite out of here.

Good point on Felton. I am just trying to get rid of him before watching him play some more, lol.

The Nets are interesting. They and the Mavs were the two extremes of the new CBA and both were wrong:(

I thought there was hope for the Nets but not sure how they get to where they want to go from here.
Hard to trade those pieces because of their contracts.

I think they have to target guys like Stephenson or Rondo that teams want to jettison badly.

Agreed on both of the highlighted points....
I think its a bit hard for Stephenson to come home... I think both Stephenson and Rondo don't have good reps as players, and ny'ers are pretty savy about their players... both would have to be huge discounts, and on very short contracts... Stepenson better chance than Rondo in my eyes, because he may thrive being home.

I'm Bedstuy all day..... about a 25 minute walk to the Barclays.... spent my life between different boroughs, & philly.

Even If Houston wins this series (seems like a foregone conclusion at this point)
They are not playing very efficient basketball, particularly on defense.

Bun B always in the front row!!!

Having my doubts about the cavs now. Love out of the playoffs. Jr smith and perkins suspended. If not the cavs as long as anybody expect the spurs win it all im good with it.
