DH looked great but 17 minutes is really nothing. And it wasn't score that kept him glued to the bench(until mid 4th quarter) but the foul situation.

Put another way, if DH had played 17 minutes in game 2 HOU probably loses.

He has easily looked the part of the most dominant presence in this series but that only matters if he plays.
If he plays at this level and get 28 mins a night it will be insanely tough for Dallas to win 2 games much less the series.

But if he is on the sideline in foul trouble winning becomes very doable.

Yea, too many fouls. I still contend that the key to going deep in the playoffs is through Howard, not Harden. They need that inside presence badly.

Well it wasn't as I would have liked, but I will take it. We have stolen home court. Now we have to defend our house. This Clippers team is playing better than past teams. They seem to be far more mature. However, their lack of depth is a major issue. I know they are younger, but they can't keep playing 40+ minutes of physical, intense basketball and not get exhausted.

My Mavs flat out suck. Rondo is faking an injury. Worst trade in Mavs history. Rondo wants to be a Laker anyway. Besides all that, the Mavs have no concept of defense. Dirk is a shell of himself. No chemistry. I'm surprised they got this far.

With that said, I'm going to be a huge San Antonio fan moving forward. Go Spurs! I think they can do it. It's going to be tough, but if any team can do this, it's Pop's Spurs.

I think Pop is going to defend Blake like he did Amare back in the day. Let him get his, but limit the role players. Blake can get 30+ a game, but that's ok as long as Redick doesn't go for 20+. I see Kawhi on Redick (occasional stints on Paul) and Green on Barnes. Paul and Griffin will look like all-stars, but if the role players are limited, LAC will have a tough time in this series.

Just like OKC last year, their starters played huge minutes, wore them down and it showed at the end of games when being able to execute really matters. A gimpy Tiago and Parker are going to make it much more difficult. Spurs gotta get some of those wide open shots to start falling, can't expect Timmy to keep carrying that kind of load.

So Golden State came back and won the game last night? I fell asleep after Curry's 3 sent them to OT.

Massive choke by N.O. They should blame it on Drew Brees being in the building.

Bucks let one slip away last night as well.

Tonight the Clips and Spurs continue their battle...
Shorthanded Mavs try to put the pieces back together
Raptors tries hard not to get swept..... Otto clamping down on DeRozan, shutting off the wing to baseline.... (maybe DeRozan should try operating from the top, more room to work?)

Tim MacMahon @espn_macmahon

Filed to ESPN: Adam Silver told me pregame that NBA will have "full-throated conversations" this summer regarding rules to ban Hack-a-Shaq.

no need to ban it. just change the rule to this.

any off the ball intentional foul will now result in 2 FTs, plus the ball on the side, just like the breakaway foul rule.

still, messing with this rule not only takes away a strategic defensive strategy, but it also lets miserable FT shooters off the hook. BTW, even though Pop is the one who basically started this, and does it the most, he is not the only coach to exploit this rule. However, since the Spurs are so successful, and they are not the Lakers, Celtics, Knicks, or Bulls, the rule must be examined and possibly messed with.

I have the best idea!

If the clock is under 4 minutes(in either half), anyone can shoot those free throws. At any time before then, the player fouled shoots one and anyone else can shoot the other one. Problem solved :)

As for tonight's game.....The LA Crybabies got their donkeys handed to them by The Claw and Co. They looked absolutely out of it. Blake was a no show. Paul was more about whine than execution. The Spurs looked fresher, more energetic, and played a great defensive game, though they did leave the Clips open a few too many times for deep jumpers. Fortunately most of them were misses.

The only two positives for the Clippers.......no injuries and the starters got some extra rest going into Sunday's game. However, since it is a mid-afternoon game, I expect them to still show some fatigue. The Spurs need to copy tonight, jump on them early and often and simply bury them. I want them going back to LA feeling completely demoralized and desperate.

obviously its going to be some changes in the rule... they can't ban all off the ball fouls.

Love how Harden is never the best player on the floor come play-off time. As far as I'm concerned, he's over-rated.

I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of Harden's awesomeness.

42 points on 15 - 24 shooting (including 5 - 7 from 3 pt range), 7 - 7 from the line, 9 assists and 5 boards.
