The thing with giving up Jarrett Jack is even if they don't get LeBron, they still didn't give up a ton and they've gained a bunch of space.

Riley will have to convince James that he has a plan to really strengthen Miami; and I just do not see how he can.

I used to live in Cleveland
That city is starving for a championship
I love for them to get labron and love to win a couple of championships
Labron will be worshipped on clev if he gets if done

I think it would be a huge mistake to go to Cleveland for 2 reasons. Number 1, I still don't think they are an organization that makes good moves, just one that seems to get lucky and get #1 picks. They may deal Wiggins for Kevin Love in order to win now, but I really have no confidence that they can add any other relevant pieces. Also, if he stays in Miami and never wins another championship, he'll still be remembered as a multiple time MVP with 2 rings, people will still rag on him, but there aren't many people in NBA history to have as many MVPs and 2 rings. Even if he goes to another team, it's not a championship or bust situation, unless he forms another big 3. But if he goes to Cleveland and doesn't win, he'll be know just as much, as the guy who couldn't deliver a championship to Cleveland.

He may have more trouble convincing guys to play in Cleveland than Miami for the minimum; but if he's on a team in the East with Irving and Love, I like his chances. He will have gutted Miami, Brooklyn's too old, Indiana is erratic, the Celtics are no where to be found, and Atlanta is.... well...Atlanta. Cleveland's most serious challenges might be Washington and Toronto. (Did I just type that statement?) Let that sink in for a minute.:D

May not be all that bad a move for James and other FAs. I think the NBA renegotiates the Players agreement in 2017 so if you only sign a two year deal, you are in line to take advantage of any changes in the new agreement.

This Lebron drama is really old. He's so full of himself. It's obvious he loves and craves all this attention, needs it to feed his ego. So glad when it's over so I won't have to see it or hear it on every TV and radio stations 24x7.

Not sure how LBJ is to fault for any of this hype.
The decision was a real drama fest and the Heat wanting to pimp him out party mode made him look bad but this time?
His agent gathered data and he did nothing but attend his own basketball camp and meet with his current team.

CLE simply has more assets and ability to win than MIA if he left for that reason he has every right to go back.
Outside of Heat fans who else wants him to remain in Miami?
Probably next to no one.

CLE not a good org?
Then how can Miami be called good? What did they do to help the guy win?
LBJ came with Bosh and Wade and in 4 years they won a lot but never had much around them except guys they recruited to take minimum salaries.
Then when those sacrificial minimum guys were up for new deals the ownership wouldn't pay them.
That's the largest reason why LeBron is an even bet to leave.

The Miami owner and Kobe Bryant deserve each other.

His legacy is already assured. His ability to win going forward is better in Cleveland. He'd be the only aging vet on a big salary.
Everyone else would be up and coming and all those draft picks are fodder for good vet player son good deals.
He can add quality starters as the MLE in CLE will be as good if not better than anywhere else in the league.

When the CBA changes in 2 years guys will still want to be with LeBron and when teams all have money to spend CLE's will stretch farthest.
.
In Miami it is win it all or bust. In CLE they'd just happy he is home for at least a couple seasons.

You would.

The Mavs started the clock. This won't last more than 3 days now.
Bosh has to move in that time so LeBron will either move before or shortly thereafter.
If Bosh takes the Rox deal, LeBron is going to leave without a doubt.
Rox have to make a lot of moves to get Bosh in now that Parsons signed his offer sheet so they need a quick commitment or refusal.

As someone who wanted Parsons more than Melo I hope it ends as I "think" it will:
LBJ to CLE then adds Love making East stronger.. finally!
Bosh to HOU.. makes West stronger again... dangit.
DWade to Miami for glorified retirement.
Parsons to DAL

The question would be, what happens with Melo? If Melo landed in Miami, that might bring James back. Hard to know what would happen then.

Melo is returning to NY and was never a threat to go to Miami anyways imho.
They don;lt have the cash and the owner won;t go to luxury tax even when he is a title favorite.

Really nice fit for Dallas if it goes through.
Solid offseason all the way around for the Mavs.
