I didn't really comment on Stephen A. I don't like the guy, never have and that something I'm on record over that but your statement about Basketball is wrong.

As for Stephen A. getting fired, no. I hate the guy but in this country, at least for a while still, the Constitution says you can say what you want. I'm tired of PC crap running everything. It's gonna ruin a good thing and firing Stephen A for being an idiot will only further that point.

It was a good signing especially for the money. Kanter is definitely not a garbage player. He will be useful. How they still need to continue to look elsewhere because his limitations are going to hurt them in the playoffs if they have to play him big minutes. Especially in our scheme where bigs need to be able to switch. His defense issues arent as much manning up a 5, its switching on the P&R.

Well, I think that's what we were discussing, the fact that Boston might be looking for other moves to make. I don't think they can go with just Kanter but it's a hell of a lot better then going with no legit Center at all.

I think that if he decides to go back to Toronto, he won't win another title. I mean, he could but I doubt it happens. In another season or two, the Lakers are going to be good enough to win the NBA title with or without him. Same can be said for a good 6 to 8 other teams IMO. Toronto caught a lot of good teams at bad times last year IMO. The NBA is either headed for another Super Team or a really deep Western Conference and I don't see Toronto having enough talent to match up, even with Leonard.

That's just my opinion though.

What will be interesting is what The Lakers do if Leonard doesn't sign. I think they probably have a shot at Green if Leonard doesn't sign. I think they have no shot if Leonard does sign. I think maybe Cousins is a possibility. Marcus Morris is another guy. Melo is rumored to be coming for minimum. Rondo is possible, as well as Jeremy Lin. Will be interesting to see what happens here.

What's interesting is that the longer he waits, the more he hurts the odd teams out and specifically, both LA teams. I feel like Toronto is set up to either resign Leonard or just sweep the decks if he leaves and look to rebuild. But the Clips and the Lakers are all in for this year, to me. The longer Leonard waits, the more it hurst both of those teams IMO.

The 3 teams with 20+M cap space LAL/LAC/DAL are all awaiting KL's decision.
They have 90% of all cap money left so really at this point no hurry.

Think DAL and LAL would prefer it be LAL.
Why? Because it makes Green available to DAL and opens up TOR roster for possible trades like Ibaka.

If it is Clips, Mavs may take on Gallinari from LAC as a fallback from Green his cap fits almost perfectly. 43% from 3 last year and DAL wants floor spacers around Luke/KP.

LAL imho is NOT all in to win this year if they miss on KL. There's not enough left on the market IMHO to title chase.
Rondo/Melo/Boogie are not plus starters. Melo isn't a starter at all. And I'm guessing they'd want to limit themselves to 1 year deals so they can do something next off-season which would likely become a go for it year.
LAL gave Rondo a 24 hour offer for the vet min is my understanding. IDK if he takes that. That's rough. After LA/CALI taxes he might actually lose money living in LA for a year at that rate, lol.

If it is TOR then yea these 3 teams will be fighting over the scraps with their cap space which means they keep each other honest. Players are very unlikely to take FAR less at any of the 3 options BUT if KL chooses LAL that they'd def be far more tempted to as we'd have a true title favorite.

He's meeting all 3 teams today. Already met the LA teams and now it is on TOR. Doubt we get his decision today but I like TOR's chances as I have all along.
LAL was stupid to have the front office drama they did at this time. As I noted previously Magic is the guy players revere.

Agree it is harder to repeat than win it once but experience and knowing how to win matters and they have that in TOR now.
With virtually that entire team up for FA in 2020 he could take 1 shot and then bounce in a truly weak FA next year.
LAL would be right back trying to chase him next year I'm sure.

Nothing this team ever does is good enough. The LAL will be good enough to win a title in another season or 2? How old will lebron be in 2 years? You make it seem like hes getting younger lol. Fact is Toronto if Kawhi stays is the team to beat in the east. Out of the west only houston scares me really. Utah got much better and are going to be tough. Denver looks to be a solid team too. But only one that really strikes fear is Houston. Just my opinion

And Durant...they were missing Durant for the entire series, minus one half. Injuries played a large enough role that you simply can’t tell the story without mentioning them. Instead of worrying about respect, just enjoy the championship. Who cares what the media and a bunch of non-Toronto fans think...
