I am one of the biggest Spurs homers on this board, maybe the biggest......just because we don't post every 5 seconds or after every game doesn't make us worried....I for one have not spent as much time on this board over the last year or so......I still come in and post when I can, but my life is so much busier now.
As far as being worried, I have never been worried when playing the Heat. Last year or this year. I was worried about the Thunder with Ibaka, cause the Spurs had a stigma when he was in the game. Once they got past that hiccup, they discarded the Thunder. Back to the Finals, the Spurs won by 15 in game 1. Yes Lebron went out with cramps, but t was only a 2 pt Miami lead when he left. It was anyone's game. As for game 2, the tide turned to the Heat when the Spurs missed 4 straight FTs.....it could have been a 6 pt lead, instead it was 2 and Miami had the momentum. Instead of the Lebron 3 only cutting the lead in half, it gave the Heat a 1 pt lead. Still, the game was close down the stretch. Unfortunately, the Heat played better, they made their shots and had fewer turnovers. Also, for some reason, the Spurs took forever to shoot that last shot down 5 with 9 seconds left....My biggest issue with game 2 was Diaw being too passive offensively. He passed up several wide open jump shots, shots he normally makes for us.
Games 3 and 4 were all Spurs from start to finish.
Spurs win 3 games by 15+, Heat win 1 game by 2.
I feel strongly that the Spurs win tomorrow night. They just seem to have this fire and determination that I have not seen in a long time. They are the deepest team in the league, the freshest team in the league, the best passing and shooting team in the league. They know they gave away the title last season, and they have it in their grasp this season. They will not prolong the Heat's chances and they will not be denied.
Not only do I feel the Spurs will win tomorrow, I feel it will be by 15+.
