Jerry,

You have pulled off a brilliant off-season. Get Dez in there, pay him slightly under what Calvin makes with nice guarantees, and let's get our emotional leader hype for training camp. You have pulled off many successful business moves in your career, let's add another to the resume. GET.IT.DONE.

To be fair, do you think he Lions would have paid what the Dolphins just did for Suh?

No, but I think they could have landed something slightly more affordable with 1 or 2 years left on his deal like we did with Tyron

Or just keep him franchised and move forward.

Players dont sign contracts like Smiths. Smith signed it because he felt indebted to the organization.

Kinda wish Dez felt that way towards the Cowboys after all they have done to give him every chance to succeed. Actually I'm sure that he does. But each player is different. Can't expect everyone to accept team-friendly deals.

I don't mind playing hard ball with players, just not with your best players, get the deal done Jerry !!!

Well by average per year he is. And his money is as close you can get to guaranteed giving his age and how we use him as a bank account.

But yeah the deal is team friendly. And he'll get another big deal before it is all said and done.
